  1. Maybe this is the piece of "misinformation". Maybe it's true to say that we're not interested in "Sharp & Maynard" because we're only interested in Sharp? Maybe we've used the Beeb to distance ourselves whilst the deal is finalised? Just guesswork but it would be great if it's true because I think Sharp gives good options alongside or instead of Lambo.
  2. Is there an online Tadanari Lee tracker, like there is for Santa?
  3. Fair play to him for speaking to him. Did think it might be a bit of an ask to get some feedback before or after the game! If he has got a knock, maybe we'll lose our interest anyway...
  4. Any news on Jutkiewicz then fella? Think we've got a rather urgent need for a new striker or 2 after today's events.
  5. Being half Chinese, I'm gutted to see some of the terms some of my fellow Saints fans are using to describe a potential new signing. Some of the terms used are as offensive to Oriental people as words like n*gger, coon & wog are to black people yet it's all seen as a bit of a joke. In way, I hope Lee doesn't sign to spare him some of the support he'd get from some on here. It'll also be interesting to see whether Sordell, for instance, attracts the same style of comments if he were to sign...
  6. Has Mr Lee taken Mr Vokes' seat on the bus or would Vokes be additional?
  7. Is this a realistic prospect, i.e. do you know that we've enquired, or more having seen that Henry is going to the Arse for a couple of months and you're speculating whether Keane would be of use here? If he is available for loan, I could see him going to Sunderland or someone like that in the Prem.
  8. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9444066.Boro_in_for_former_Saints_target/ Boro have gone back in for Lukas according to the Echo. Is he now a "former... target" or is he firmly back in our sights if the tweet about Maynard and Sharp is accurate? Pilchards, any news on LJ?
  9. Sounds like Jutkiewicz then...
  10. I'm the Echo story at the time was that we would look to buy him in January but were prepared to pay a bit more for a loan in November + a permanent move in January. Maybe Cov opted for the latter in the hope Lukas scored enough goals to give them a fighting chance of avoiding the drop before departing. Even Lukas was pretty non-committal when questioned about the move, saying something along the lines of "it wasn't the right time to comment on the speculation" rather than a firm "I'm staying at Cov". Didn't someone also post today, on another thread, that he'd heard Jay Rod was a done deal? Whatever happens, the first we'll truly know will be on the OS as always but it would seem two of the liklier candidates can be struck off the list, if this info is true.
  11. Is it good news or bad news (like Fulham now being interested)?
  12. Would free up some of the wage budget as would Dickson & Holmes going. Will always be grateful for his intervention against the Dons but perhaps it's time he moved on for his own career if nothing else.
  13. But who would we measure speed against if he went??
  14. Out injured for up to 6 weeks apparently so doubt that one will happen. Think Sharp would be perfect for us if we can do a deal. How long ago was this christening? Is this recent stuff - although I'm guessing prior to Leicester's quoted interest?
  15. True but it could be said we're a little closer to being able to offer Premiership wages next year than they are...
  16. All it took was one horse's head left on his bed & the Don had convinced Shaqiri to sign. He's also got Messi's family locked up in a secret location so expect him to join soon too.
  17. My abiding memory is annoyance that we shared a kit with Molenbeek & then Denmark! Used to spend ages setting it up with my mate & then we'd decide to go out for a kickabout instead. Was enjoyable if we did stick at it but not a patch on games like FIFA 12 nowadays.
  18. So we're negotiating but Nicola's playing hardball?
  19. First 2 replies, immediate opposite ends of the spectrum! Be interesting to see how this pans out. View From The Top said his oppo at Burnley said we'd not been back for J Rod & they'd heard we'd got Sharp. He'd be my preferred choice of those named in the OP. Til all is revealed, sources gentlemen please?!
  20. I would imagine, no matter how hard we try to keep deals quiet, the football world will get wind of impending deals before they're announced as chairmen, managers et al probably all talk to each other. Here's hoping this news is true because I think Sharp would be the perfect foil for Lambert. Is there an "oppo" you could ask at Donny who could confirm this??
  21. The 3 Dicks are the top 3 for me: 1) Richard Lambert 2) Richard Chaplow 3) Frazer Richardson
  22. Still think we're more likely to go for, and get, Sharp rather than Maynard. Sharp was the one we went for first at the beginning of the summer & now he's been confirmed as being for sale in January, I think we'll try again.
  23. Always thought we'd go back for him. With Jaidi finishing this season & it being unclear when Seaborne will be back, picking 2 from Fonte or Martin (on the right) & Hooiveld or Fontaine (on the left) gives us good strength in depth at the back. Add Sharp (can see it being him rather than Maynard or LJ) + a wideman (possibly the return of Puncheon?) & I think we'd be pretty much there for the rest of the season.
