Schneiderlin looks so happy. Just think, he had one of the best seats in the house to watch that.

Hmmm. Slightly controversial? We have a Swiss owner... Dignitas?
-
Maybe he really is the 4th emergency centre back?

MOTD - Goal of the Season Vote LIVE NOW....
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache replied to vince's topic in The Saints
I almost always vote for the Saints entry but, on this occasion, I can hand on heart say it was done because I think it was the best goal not because it was scored by my team. If Roberto Carlos' effort is much lauded then so should this be because the swerve is as immense but, unlike Carlos' goal, the ball was moving when Cuco hit it. -
Zlatan's name does not fit onto the shirt, the shirt is made to fit Zlatan's name.

Not so much loose as fallen out.

Dani Osvaldo, he wants to come home! No?
-
I'm taking no chances with this so I'm going to boo him from the off, on Sunday. After all, maybe he's been holding us back, like Nigel Pearson did to Leicester.
-
I can't see it happening but it would be interesting to see whether he turned out to be more of a Kevin Keegan for us or more of a Mark Hughes...
-
Congratulations Leicester. Brilliant, brilliant stuff. Wasn't watching the Spurs v Chelsea game but seen lots of stuff about the bad behaviour of the Spurs players at the end. What's was that all about?
-
Rickie Lambert, he wants to come home! But does Koeman have room for sentimentally?

From the training gallery in the OS, looks like Charlie Austin may be fit again. Hopefully City will have one eye on the CL 2nd leg not us. They can trust Arsenal enough to mess up to allow us a win!
-
I saw Ronald said Austin was out again tomorrow but did he give a sense of whether we will see him again this season? I thought he said it'd be 1 week, last week?
-
A good win which I didn't think would be in doubt once we got the early goal. One of those wins where you got the sense we could've kicked on and dished out a thrashing but lost our way with the second half subs. Newcastle looked like a side accepting of their fate until Townsend scored and, even then, didn't really put us any consistent pressure. They do have some decent players in that side but the defence is woeful. Whilst relegation is devastating for a club's fans (& on occasion bank balance!), I do wonder whether the better players (or those with over inflated egos) see it as a stepping stone to a move elsewhere with a signing on fee pay day.
-
Still think he'll come good for us. Obviously, this wasn't the start he was hoping for, especially after that goal against United on his debut, and we may need to accept it'll be next season before we see the real Charlie Austin.
-
In the words of the veritable Adam Blackmore: #saintsfc striker Charlie Austin did NOT get recurrence of hamstring injury warming up BUT did pick up a knock on knee
-
Did Ronald say whether it was a severe injury or too early to tell?
-
Still not seen him in a Saints shirt. Bizarrely, always injured when we go. Trying not to take it personally...

Saints 3 Newcastle 1

Didn't see Austin warming up before game (although I didn't arrive til 2.45), nor during 1st half when Long went down & not now at half time. Injured during the early part of the warm up, maybe? Don't sit near enough to the bench to see if he's there... -
Hopefully take out today's frustrations on a relegation threatened Toon next week. Would go for an attacking line up fir a game we both need to win: Forster Cedric Fonte Van Dijk Bertrand Clasie Wanyama Davis Long Pellè Mane Stekelenburg Martina Yoshida Romeu JWP Rodriguez Austin
