  1. Really excited by this one. Could be a phenomenal bargain (yes, really Porn Kings)... Also enjoyed reading the reactions of fans of other clubs here (apologies if already posted somewhere): http://talksport.com/football/charlie-austin-southampton-chelsea-manchester-united-and-tottenham-fans-react-saints-ps4m
  2. Plus there's the Caulker-related saving too. Maybe we've knocked some of the loan fee off any deal for Austin?
  3. Agreed. It's the K,Billy thumbs up which intrigues me....
  4. So is this looking likely then? Seen the K,Billy hint, just need Guan to come and finalise it, I guess! Had seen some hints at a West Ham move for him but I wonder if he'd still fancy going there after this back in August... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-3205031/Charlie-Austin-hits-outrageous-slur-West-Ham-chairman-David-Sullivan-questioned-QPR-star-s-physical-condition.html
  5. An excellent player on his day but Romeu's back up for the moment...
  6. The win was essential but the performance gives hope for the immediate future too. Another good finisher & these wins could be turned into thrashings. An excellent response from the chaps.
  7. He could join us as part of his Civic duty.
  8. It'll also be interesting to hear if there are any imminent incomings, particularly with others below us beginning to strengthen, and whether the plan has shifted beyond just signing a single striker.
  9. Interesting to see what Ronald says in his press conference because I'm sure he said the plan was to keep Caulker for the rest of the season. Clearly, he didn't play well in his sporadic appearances for us but it must be hard integrating into a back 4 consistently when you only play once in a while, sometimes only for a few minutes at a time. It will be interesting to see if he gets any game time at Liverpool, even with their injury crisis.
  10. The whispers as to potential signings are almost non-existent. Either we're playing our cards even more closely to our chest than usual or there just isn't anything pending, which would be worrying. Or maybe the single signing RK mentioned is being rapidly reassessed internally given our woeful run of form and targets are still being identified never mind sounded out with their club.
  11. If I were him, I'd be trying to get it tied up as soon as I could. Hell of a payout with just under 5 years on a deal left, if sacked, because results didn't improve.
  12. Nearly as big a loss as Eva Carneiro at Chelsea IMO. Look at what happened to them when she left!!
  13. Bournemouth strengthening despite being on a reasonable run. We are on an atrocious run & it looks like we can't be a*sed. One striker? It's not enough.
  14. Juventus have apparently turned down bids from us and West Ham for Stefano Sturaro. http://gazzettaworld.gazzetta.it/news/transfer-market/juventus-west-ham-southampton-sturaro/
  15. Another ex Saint in Arron Davies on now...
  16. Looks like ex-Saints Paul Tisdale & Lee Holmes could be guiding Exeter to a surprise win over the Scousers if the half time score is anything to go by!
  17. Maybe we get a discount as compensation for having Caulker?
  18. Maybe, maybe not. Who truly knows the extent of the footballer ego?
  19. Maybe this should sound a(nother) warning to some of our 'wantaway' stars? Maybe it's better to be an important player at a so-called smaller club than a bit part player at a larger club? Unless the move is just a money gathering exercise.
  20. So was Juanmi simply left out vs Norwich or was he injured? Could it hint at a loan move back to Spain, as some of the Spanish press were recently suggesting? A pretty bad fall from grace if he was left out: a highly rated new Spanish international to Ryan Seager's understudy...
  21. Oh, I see. Will this impact any potential signings? I mean, if Koeman could be removed I guess we won't let him spend heavily on players a new coach won't want despite the obvious need for a forward.
  22. Really? Has it all gone boobies up behind the scenes or are you hinting he'll never walk and will need to be fired before he leaves?
  23. Alan Nixon: Leicester City. Demarai Gray should be signed tomorrow afternoon. Unless Southampton sort themselves out with a rival bid.
  24. I hope Romeu senses the opportunity to step in and take over for a while...
  25. 3 goals in 7 games around the 4-0 Arsenal win is extremely poor and illustrates we need reinforcements now. If it's money we need, sell Wanyama now to fund some of it. Koeman's point is valid in is being the only side to make a profit from transfers as it hints at under investment.
