  1. Maybe this should sound a(nother) warning to some of our 'wantaway' stars? Maybe it's better to be an important player at a so-called smaller club than a bit part player at a larger club? Unless the move is just a money gathering exercise.
  2. So was Juanmi simply left out vs Norwich or was he injured? Could it hint at a loan move back to Spain, as some of the Spanish press were recently suggesting? A pretty bad fall from grace if he was left out: a highly rated new Spanish international to Ryan Seager's understudy...
  3. Oh, I see. Will this impact any potential signings? I mean, if Koeman could be removed I guess we won't let him spend heavily on players a new coach won't want despite the obvious need for a forward.
  4. Really? Has it all gone boobies up behind the scenes or are you hinting he'll never walk and will need to be fired before he leaves?
  5. Alan Nixon: Leicester City. Demarai Gray should be signed tomorrow afternoon. Unless Southampton sort themselves out with a rival bid.
  6. I hope Romeu senses the opportunity to step in and take over for a while...
  7. 3 goals in 7 games around the 4-0 Arsenal win is extremely poor and illustrates we need reinforcements now. If it's money we need, sell Wanyama now to fund some of it. Koeman's point is valid in is being the only side to make a profit from transfers as it hints at under investment.
  8. If the club genuinely think we may only need a striker if Jay Rod & Pellè aren't fit & that's it, then that's crazy. 6 defeats in 8 is relegation form & tells it's own tale. Rather than saying no-one should be sold, maybe we should move a couple on now & get them settled in for a better season next year. I'd say Big Vic may be one, right now.

  10. Norwich, not far below us in for Naismith & Ranocchia. Would be good signings for them & makes them stronger.
  11. Wouldn't mind us taking a punt on Andre Gray at Burnley. Carried on where he left off after last season's excellence at Brentford.
  12. Once we had the Latvian Michael Owen, now we could have the Irish Jamie Vardy! I think Long can be very much our own Vardy like striker - a complete pest who's not afraid to wind up the centre halves to give him an edge. Unlike Vardy, he's not been given a real run of games to get himself going. Vardy himself was hardly prolific in the top flight until Ranieri started him regularly. Maybe that's what Long needs too. Anyone know how long Pelle is out for? A run of games alongside Mane could allow us to see the real Shane Long.
  13. I'd take a bit of solidly unspectacular right now. Gave the right side good balance.
  14. Interesting stat from the Beeb website:
  15. Fantastic performance but again only got through 65 mins until he got cramp. Need him to build up the stamina and strength but there is a tremendous player in there, epitomised by the excellent tackle in the box he made early in the second half.
  16. "Arsene, my client just bossed your midfield - interested?". Not my words but those of Big Vic's agent in about 10 mins time...
  17. Deserves a thread. Yes, there was THAT goal but I thought he did well. Kept the shape well at the back and kept Theo quiet too.
  18. Crikey! Never saw that coming but we were awesome. Great shape, superb tactics & finishing at last. Have to say Long may keep Pelle out for a while with pace & movement like that.
  19. Crazy not to have played Cuco before...
  20. I see Morgan remained stuck on the bench as United lose again. I wonder if (pay packet aside) he's having second thoughts about his move, particularly if he continues to miss games and it starts to threaten his Euro 2016 chances.
  21. No idea. 'Twas tongue in cheek...
  22. Good to see Bournemouth trying to follow Pompey's successful Premier League business model.
  23. Not sure but I think I read Sunderland were interested in taking him on in January. Could release him and bring in Chambers, I guess. Would be good if he comes in at right back & only covers at centre half.
  24. Looks a talent. Hope we take a punt on him as we could really do with a pacy, strong, athletic centre forward. Looks like he can finish too.
