If its an old boy being brought back - fine - but its all about the future for me and, for now, the exciting squad with greater depth we have for this season

Wife is clued up on this as per my earlier post. It's something called a hub and spoke model and the reason he had to go to Ghana is this is our hub where visas are more likely to need to be processed speedily. Senegal does also have a visa processing site but could be the spoke leading to Ghana where he might get sorted more quickly. The TB check I wrote about yesterday is a real process required to enter the UK and does cause deltas for overseas entrants to the UK. "Slow paperwork" could include this. Just got to wait this out unfortunately, if so.

Wife is a student immigration adviser and she says Senegalese nationals (amongst many other nationals) have to undergo a TB test which can take 10+ days before the results are approved. Introduced by Theresa May apparently. No test, no visa. Apparently waiting times are worse in Sept due to the huge influxes of overseas students at these times. Don't know if being a highly paid footballer on a tier 2 sports person visa at a super wealthy football club can mean the process could be sped up at all. This is, of course, complete guesswork on Sadio's situation but is a feasible reason for delay according to the missus. Bloody students.

Senegal ranked 59 in the world and he seems to play regularly so don't know on what grounds. Koeman was expecting him last Thursday so I'm sure he will be here soon. Either that or I hope we didn't pay his signing on fee up front...

Personally, I think Nick Holmes deserves a space up on the banner. FA Cup winner with Southampton, a one club man (in terms of League football) and a damn fine representative for the Saints (unless there's something I've missed?).

Shame but, when Jay Rod returns, he may not even have made the 18, with Mane's imminent arrival too. Hope regular games get him going again and we ultimately benefit next season.
