Ivan Katalinic's 'tache

A quick search of the Liverpool forums which come up first on Google and there's one that's got player ratings for today's game. This one made me chuckle...

He could leave out Long, go with Morgan, Vic & Cork in the middle and push Davis out to wide right? That's the beauty now, plenty of strong options in the squad with Jay Rod & Mane still to add in

Wife is clued up on this as per my earlier post. It's something called a hub and spoke model and the reason he had to go to Ghana is this is our hub where visas are more likely to need to be processed speedily. Senegal does also have a visa processing site but could be the spoke leading to Ghana where he might get sorted more quickly. The TB check I wrote about yesterday is a real process required to enter the UK and does cause deltas for overseas entrants to the UK. "Slow paperwork" could include this. Just got to wait this out unfortunately, if so.

Wife is a student immigration adviser and she says Senegalese nationals (amongst many other nationals) have to undergo a TB test which can take 10+ days before the results are approved. Introduced by Theresa May apparently. No test, no visa. Apparently waiting times are worse in Sept due to the huge influxes of overseas students at these times. Don't know if being a highly paid footballer on a tier 2 sports person visa at a super wealthy football club can mean the process could be sped up at all. This is, of course, complete guesswork on Sadio's situation but is a feasible reason for delay according to the missus. Bloody students.

Senegal ranked 59 in the world and he seems to play regularly so don't know on what grounds. Koeman was expecting him last Thursday so I'm sure he will be here soon. Either that or I hope we didn't pay his signing on fee up front...

Heard him say in the car park it was just a bit of a knock & he's fine. He drove off so he can't have been too concussed...

Brilliant performance. Looks like there are goals all over the team and still got Jay Rod and Mane to add in. Could be another fantastic season looming, chaps.

2 weeks in and he may not even have been to Southampton yet! Is this a record?

One final one - what about Franny? 400+ apps, 1 whole goal, a few red cards and an incredible run for charity.

Personally, I think Nick Holmes deserves a space up on the banner. FA Cup winner with Southampton, a one club man (in terms of League football) and a damn fine representative for the Saints (unless there's something I've missed?).

Jack Stephens loaned to Swindon until end Jan 2015. Toby must surely be done, at least...

I see what you did there. It will be funny only if the signings happen...

Good. :scared:

Can i panic yet?

Shame but, when Jay Rod returns, he may not even have made the 18, with Mane's imminent arrival too. Hope regular games get him going again and we ultimately benefit next season.

Sven Claes says it's a done deal now...

Norwich.

Should hear something soonish according to Simon Peach...

Thought it was Ben Arfa to Hull?

Good. Item 1: will you show the required commitment...

At what point do we start to panic that there's been no news or announcements. I'd like to set an alarm so I don't miss out. I'm guessing the Guan smiley warning system will be in operation prior to any official announcements too?

A mate of mine has just text me to say we've bid £15 million for Andy Townsend. I assume this means Dave Merrington has been shown the door?

Best. Transfer. Assessment. Ever.

I like the fact we are pushing to take one of Spurs players when they have spent the summer trying to punch at least two of ours... Just a shame it's Townsend although he might find a new lease of life under Ronnie.

It's happening. According to Belgian journo Kristof Terreur...
