  1. Wasn't Marshall at Norwich for a while? Did that coincide with Watson's time there?
  2. Ruddy hell? Thanks fir the update. Any news on Tadic and Pelle? Likely to to sign this week or Everton now in pole for Tadic?
  3. http://www.nsno.co.uk/everton-news/2014/07/blues-in-pole-position-for-serb-forward/ Everton view on Tadic. Seem fairly confident! Didn't someone say they'd spotted him out in Southampton last night though? Hopefully we've got him holed up somewhere ready to sign soon...
  4. Not impressed. I can understand his stand point but mouthing off in public is disgraceful and symptomatic of a toddler throwing his toys out of the pram when he can't immediately get his way. The way Liverpool have played this has been designed to unsettle our players and I'm glad that the Suarez situation is giving them a taste of their own medicine. To return to Lovren, I do wonder how good he actually is. Don't get me wrong, he had some decent performances in a Saints shirt but Luke Shaw is a fabulous talent and I wonder if having him outside Dejan allowed him to stay central and offer less cover than if Fox, say, had been there. He's also prone to diving in, in the box, and can be a penalty waiting to happen. It would be great to keep him but I think that point has passed and £20 million is more than enough IMO.
  5. Gone a bit quiet this one? A good sign?
  6. Guess or knowledge?
  7. Are Bears allowed more than one wife?
  8. If that's true, Adam Lallana is a: Charlie Oscar Charlie Kilo.
  9. Is this the reason for the delay? Working out whether the deal will be straight cash or player plus cash?
  10. Liverpool are taking no chances with Adam's prior heart concerns, which is holding up the deal. Brendan Rodgers has been hiding & jumping out shouting 'boo' very loudly over the past 48 hours to ensure this has been thoroughly checked.
  11. Adam Lallana - the Liverpudlian Rudi Skacel. The only hold up is the time it's taking him to write up how much Southampton and its fans mean to him. 5 pages of A4 and still going apparently.
  12. Ha! Take that Liverpool. Now WE have one of yours!
  13. Nicely timed double player sale after the plea to buy season tickets last week. The club have concentrated on our history! (See Keegan & Newcastle in 1982). Shame to see Adam & Luke go, I just hope this is it now. Great to have such a productive academy, just a pity it'll only really be a breeding site for the big boys but I guess that's football nowadays. Looking forward to seeing how Ronnie spends the cash. Les promised exciting signings, I truly hope they are.
  14. I reckon it'll be the young French lad with the name which offers great value if your kid wants it on his shirt - Kolodjieczak or something.
  15. Surely he needs to join us first though?
  16. Great moral compass too. Clearly thought Chiellini was showing too much flesh & tried to get him to cover up. Hope Koeman does get him firing though!
  17. I recall we had a nice navy away kit around the time Marian Pahars & Hassan Kachloul were strutting their stuff for us.
  18. Fair play to us. Thought £34m would've done it. Luke needs to bother some more women to up the price more.
  19. For £34m it may prove too hard to resist. Shame as he'll be worth double that one day but it gives us the chance to really strengthen on top of whatever other funds we have. Amazing what a front page story involving birds can add to your value...
  20. The new kit will make us look like the Village People???
  21. A couple more final offers and they'll have got to what we want. Hang in there Saints!
  22. Strachan started by signing Telfer & Williams as familiar faces so if Ron wants Immers because he trusts him in a similar way, I guess we need to show faith in that decision. I agree Pelle looks the more impressive of the two, at first glance.
  23. Ronald Koeman, on 13th October 1993, you brought down David Platt as he was clean through on goal, in the penalty box. Only a free kick was given and you were not sent off. You then scored a free kick on the way to a 2-0 win for the Dutch. It cost us a place at the 1994 World Cup finals. At the time I was cross, particularly with you. I now realise I was wrong. It was only David Platt; he'd have missed anyway. We wouldn't have won the tournament, even if we'd got to the finals, probably exiting on penalties to the Germans. You did us a favour really. And now over 20 years on, you have arrived in Southampton. Hail Ronald, a true Saint. Until you leave for Spurs in 18 months...
