We'll sneak a draw to prolong the agony
-
Exactly. And although we havent had a clean sheet yet, we seem much better defensively. I'd be inclined to commit more forward and trust ABK, Salisu, KWP and Perraud to do deal with any counter threat. Set pieces are a different matter 🤦🏽♂️ May be wishful thinking, but if we lose this then Ralph could be on his way. Im not convinced that SR will let this shitshow drag out 🤞🏼. Hopefully we win though and can start finding some consistency

Didnt Neville do a programme a year or so ago highlighting the disgraceful slave labour used to help build the stadiums. No doubt he'll be very quiet in the run up to the tournament since hes got a cushy punditry job in the ITV studio. What a c***

Whens Lavia due back? I thought he was out for 5-6 weeks and we must be nearing 5 weeks already. Given Ralphs recent comments on AMN, its unlikely we'll see him for a while and therefore Diallo will still be in beside JWP. Ralph will also find a way to keep selecting Moi 🤦🏽♂️. Our home record against Everton is very good, although they seem to be much improved defensively. Hopefully an early goal and then we can build from there. A much needed clean sheet would be welcome too. 2-0 Saints - Adams and Aribo

The Possibility of a Proper Derby Match is on the Horizon

I doubt this ownership will solely entrust the manager to decide who we sign. Joe Shields and Matt Crocker will have plenty of input. January definitely isnt a buyers market but we'll try -

Didnt realise Scotland games had a bearing on how we'll do this season. Che will chip in with his usual 8-10 PL goals. It's whether theres enough goals outside of that. Hopefully Mara, Edozie, JWP, Stu etc can get some goals. Our defenders are also capable of contributing. We're also only 10 games away from the next transfer window. We were in the market for a striker in the summer so I'll sure we'll be looking again -
Poch would work if he had the players on the training ground for a prolonged period, to get them well drilled on his style of play. Seeing them once in a blue moon would be a struggle for him

Seen the word 'deluded' banded about this thread quite a bit. To think that Moyes or Rodgers (both still in a job at clubs much bigger than us) would want to come to us if they were sacked, is indeed deluded.
-
Hope the owners put an end to this soon. Getting sick and tired of our bipolar team under Ralph. How can we go from the highs of Chelsea to that utter dross tonight. Could barely even string a few passes together it was that bad
-
Djenepos probably been our best player
-
For all the plaudits that the likes of ABK, KWP and Salisu have been getting, still no clean sheet in the league this season
-
Dont be saying that. Plenty on here who would want a hard man who kicks people, shouts alot and growls at the opposition. Thats whats still expected of capts/vice capts these days isnt it? Just give us somebody who leads by example with his performances on the pitch, just like Prowsey
-
Definitely not the biggest fan of his before this season. Great start to his time here but then poor performances and injuries took over. Hes obviously worked hard over the summer and his versatility is a great asset for us. Some very good performances at LB this season and deserved an extension. Lets hope he kicks on now and doesnt revert to type

Team picks itself Bazunu KWP ABK Salisu Perraud JWP AMN Aribo S Arm A Arm Adams Edozie and Mara to make an impact off the bench if its tight

Only cost about 8 million as well
-
Quite right. They had that poor run last season but he stuck with it and turned them around. Personally I think he deserves the chance. Hes done a fantastic job on a smallish budget, has them playing attractive football and seems to get the very best out of ok players. Gross and Trossard two good examples. Will be a massive step up with the pressure of new owners and how much they spent in the summer. Will he be the first ex-Saints player to manage one of the 'top 6' since Hughes (although technically City werent a top 6 club back then)?

I'm all for the weakening/unsettling of Brighton if Potter is indeed their no1 target
-
Good win for Brentford today and the United game was another standout, but they also conceded 3 against Fulham the other week so we can get at them. Said it after the Spurs game that if we bettered more than a point per game after the Brentford game then it will have been a decent start given our fixtures and bedding in a lot of new, young players. A win and we're well ahead of that target. Can see a draw. 1-1

Armstrong had a big influence on changing the tide of the Leeds game and was very good against Chelsea where he got a goal. Wouldnt say hes useless, hes offered alot more in games this season. Elyounoussi I agree offers nothing
-
He is very credible and Secret Scout who has connections at Chelsea has confirmed it also. It just shows how scattergun Chelsea's recruitment has been since Boehly came in and they got rid of Granovskaia and Cech. Willing to pay 50m for a 18 year old with a handful of PL appearances is madness and smacks of desperation after missing out on Sangare
-
Hes also won us the Leicester game
-
Bazunu KWP ABK Salisu Perraud JWP Diallo Aribo S Armst A Armst Adams If we can keep a first clean sheet of the PL season, we'll win this as I think theres goals in us. 0-2 Saints

Booked in the 89th minute and then sent off in the 91st minute for diving. Maybe we dodged one here. On other note, check out the penalty Benfica did get. The Portuguese league is certainly not corrupt 😂

We have improved at GK We have improved at CB We have improved at DM While we havent improved at CF we have added exciting young players across the front line. We have also managed to ship out a number of players who arent good enough. 9/10 window for me. Had we also moved Redmond and Walcott on, while also bringing in a CF then it would have been a 10/10 window. Fair dues to Sport Republic, they've meant business and it is refreshing to see
