  1. Lambert was a boyhood Liverpool fan coming to the end of his career. Noone begrudged him a fairytale return. Lallana, on the other hand, was busy declaring his love for Saints, signing a long term contract, kissing the badge and openly stating he wanted to spend his career here, before (supposedley) going on strike, refusing to play and signing Liverpool shirts whilst saying 'I hope so' when asked if he'll be a Liverpool soon. Hardly comparable. (Ps. Lovren also got pelters that summer for joing Liverpool)
  2. Can't believe someone has taken Sulemana off us; happy fucking days indeed. One of the worst players to ever play for us
  3. Things can't be that desperate surely?
  4. Squads looking a little large; who do we leave out the 25-man squad?
  5. For someone who wants out and doesn't want to sign a new contract (expires next summer), that's a cracking deal.
  6. I just wish he'd wear his shin pads properly.
  7. Didn't realise the next round is seeded. All the European teams are being kept apart.
  8. Yes, and then KWP staying and playing LB pushed him even further away.
  9. Was incredibly underwhelming I thought. The so-called Northam wall was nothing. The atmosphere was no different, maybe a little worse, to how it was previously. The fan zones were crap and just hindered walking round the stadium. If they have to down this tinpot route, at least allow clear access round the stadium for those of us who want to avoid it. That the forest fans outsung at times was worrying, and I think the atmosphere suffered from losing the home fans vs away fans atmosphere to be honest. Lots to work on here, early days and all that, but it doesn't scream an improvement.
  10. There are, but unfortunately we can't play ourselves.
  11. Sulemana? What do Saints fans actually see in him? Absolutely shocking player. The same Sulemana who did sweet fuck all for us last time we were in this league, and despite dropping down a division, did even more sweet fuck all there as well?
  12. First home game of the season. Never felt so unenthusiastic and meh about a new season. Anyone else feeling the same, or just me?
  13. Meghoma wants out, so I doubt there's any long term plan from our part. He's probably just being shunted forward to keep playing whilst Larios can get some minutes in his favoured LB slot.
  14. Ticks multiple boxes: Woman. Mixed race. LGBT. Win-win for all.
  15. Genuinely cannot believe we've robbed £10m for him ... deal of the century (for us), and no refunds allowed.
  16. They're keeping the fan zones open till 9pm? What feedback have they had to warrant that, because I can't see the average football fan still being at the ground 4 hours after the final whistle.
  17. Personally, I'd much rather spend the money at one of the local pubs, and not pouring more money into the club who are (comparatively at least) awash with cash.
  18. Fantastic news to top off a good evening. Now we're cooking (as the twitterati say...)
  19. Or maybe, and I realise this is probably quite an outlandish suggestion, there'll be flexibility depending on the game, personnel and opposition?
  20. Wonder what the allocation will be. Anyone know what we took there last season?
  21. Can tell its the summer holidays and the kids are getting bored
  22. A serious of major injuries one after the other really stunted his progress.
  23. Didn't RM mention something about being rested? Bit of a weird explanation I thought.
  24. Kami Doyle, after leaving us for "better 1st team opportunities" at Brighton, hasn't even made an appearance for them in pre-season. Going well, then! Whereas if he was here, he no doubt wouldve been given a chance to stake a claim. Still, ££££££
  25. I'd like to know a bit more about the academy; More specifically, why have we cut back on wages we offer scholars, thus losing 2 of our better talents? And why certain players seem to want out; do we make promises and then break them? (Doyle & Meghoma spring to mind) Not that I would expect either to be answered, but perhaps a more broad view of how they see the academy over the next couple of years because it really feels like we prioritise other clubs youngsters more than our own...
