Tbf, Strachan was all about "useful" players rather than players with a broad range of skill. Shows that Telfer, Delap, Tessem etc. all did better than Svensson despite being far less talented. Not that I'm complaining.

Having a back central 3 of Bazunu, Salisu and ABK is very exciting as they all clearly have high potential. Would be very nervous going with it this season without more experienced options just in case.

I generally thought that Salisu was better when he was the deeper of the two, watching runners and using his pace to snuf out attacks rather than a front foot head-to-the-ball type. Two of them could be our new Svensson and Lundekvam.

We're crying out for a 3 man midfield as we currently have Diallo, JWP and Armstrong (S) who would all really suit it. We have no #10s or strikers that particularly suit the box front 4. If we sign another advanced CM type then it would be bizarre to carry on with the 4-2-2-2. There's also a chance that some of our ineffective attackers might come to life in a front three.
