  1. Wouldn't be six people though would it? I assume each refugee fight will require quite an entourage of government officials?
  2. Whilst I accept McCarthy's limitations and don't want him as first choice, he was our POTS in the 2017/18 season so surely better than Stekelenberg? My memory has Boruc as absolutely brilliant, partly because he was excellent under Poch and partly because he was such a magnificent upgrade on Davis.
  3. Economy actually contracted in April. A bitter blow for the "yeah but imagine labour in power" crowd. Sunak will go down as one of the worst chancellors in history.
  4. 100% on Benrahma, would be chuffed with that. The main issue with Minamino, as we saw when he was here, is that he's not an attacking midfield who can play the 10, he's a forward perfectly suited to a front 3.
  5. When you think about it in the context of other 17 million pound transfers it's not that mad.
  6. Dont people also buy these machines because 1. it's fun and 2. it feels a bit less alchy than tearing through cans?
  7. Would be quite something, he has the most loyal (sycophantic) cabinet I think I've ever seen. I can only imagine there will be resignations if someone (Truss) thinks they can take his job.
  8. Oof. The media control this country, if he's losing them, he's done.
  9. Surprised there's no talk of Bale going to play in Qatar. Make loads of money, get familiar with the surroundings and play loads of golf whilst scoring 5 goals a game to keep confidence up.
  10. Hunt would be one of the few Tory options that would make Starmer look jazzy.
  11. Quite. He was absolutely brilliant under Hughes, seemed bizarre that we sold him at the time.
  12. Quite. The fact people like Leadsome have turned on him suggests to me that there must be an alternative lined up. The main limiting factor is if the Tories already consider the next election a likely loss, it might put off potential candidates.
  13. But what is the arguement here? Assuming she used a handgun then it shows that handguns are suitable, not military rifles. Obviously America is a long way from sanity, but the immediate argument is about stopping people from being able to purchage semi-automatic rifles, not handguns.
  14. So it looks pretty likely there will be a VONC in the next couple of weeks. Anyone's guess which way it will go, I assume several Tories are hatching plans as we speak.
  15. Went to the Benali testimonail, great event. From memory I think that's the only time we wore that kit in a game.
  16. I know the imperial measurements thing is supposed to stoke the culture war, but it feels like an own goal for the government as 1. Noone under 60 understands it so will see it as a pain and 2. I can imagine some brexiteers thinking "ermmm, is that the biggest benefit?". Distraction from Partygate I guess.
  17. The ridiculous thing is that we have a massive glut of gas in the country at the moment which has crashed the wholesale gas price. We should actually have cheaper energy price but the market (the energy companies) are keeping them high. I know it would be idiologically intollerable for many, but the ultimate solution for this is a publically owned utility company that can ensure a fair price. And before anyone jumps on it, that a publically owned option, not to nationalise the whole industry. 18. On reflection I think it's probably KWP at LWB and Tella at RWB, think we've done that before at some point this season?
  19. Not really sure what that is. Salisu at LB? 3 at the back with Tella at LWB?
  20. Responses below it suggest they're well respected.
  21. The one with the bow and arrow in the kops or the one whither the serial bell ringer killer?
  22. What does the % relate to? Christ, if our fans are the most intelligent there isn't much hope for the country.
  23. God I really hope the Tories get buried in 2024 and aren't seen again for a very long time. What an aborrant excuse for a political party.
  24. If they lose to Chelsea then we're essentially safe as their goal difference is so bad. Unless something crazy were to happen like we lose 10-0 to Liverpool.
  25. Looking like a strong night for Labour on the whole. Holding their seats in the red wall compared to 2018 is a massive improvement on the nose dive in 2019 and they're continuing to dominate increasingly in London and the southern Cities. Libs also taking seats off Tories. Will be interesting to see Scotland and Wales comes through as they were the areas projected to be most damanging for the Tories/beneficial for Labour.
