This is why the Tories should have called an election already, the longer they wait the more ridiculous the Rwanda stuff gets shown to be. If they'd got to the electorate the first time it got rejected then people would have been more ignorant. Paying a failed asylum seeker £3,000 during a cost of living crisis is a terrible, terrible look politically.

He was bought to play Jones football, same with Orsic and Sulamana, then we sacked him and reverted back to Ralph-ball with Selles which didn't suit any of them (maybe the latter). He's clearly a decent player and good goal scorer but you have to play to his strengths, would be lost in a Russ-ball team.
-
I don't think we would have survived but the difference is we had a handful of premier league quality players (Bale, Jones, Baird, Best maybe) so I think we would have had a slightly better chance. Just looking at the wiki of that season we had around 40 players play, an absolute pick'n'mix of a season.

Watched it at uni, that second leg was incredible (result aside), so much drama. The team we had then was a lot of fun (Bale, Jones, Saga etc.) and could really hurt teams but were also pretty fragile and patched together. It was very much a very militant, organised Derby against our bunch of better, less cohesive players.

From everything I've heard I think Labour's manifesto is going to be very strong and popular. Water nationalised and British energy both very popular too.
-
Agreed, but I think they thought otherwise.
-
I'd be surprised if it ever does, will be several roadblocks and by the time they get over them the election will take place and it will be canned. It was also a logistically foolish policy, they were just betting on it resonating more with the public, which it hasn't really. Complete bunch of useless chancers.

He wasn't suited to Russ-ball, he's an all action, high tempo player.

Adams is a perfectly fine championship striker, bit streaky but easily good enough for a playoff chase. I do think we could easily enough get an equivilent player (maybe Stewart) - we're really just much better with a proper striker playing through the middle, which is what we get from Adams.

Indeed. The idea of "taxing the rich" seems to have weirdly adverse effect on swing voters
-
Of course. Spend the weekend making up wacky conspiracy theories to rile people up.
-
Very tempting, reckon it'd a laugh in many ways.

If we don't go up next season I'm expecting something along the lines of: Baz Bree [New CB] Stephens Manning Smallbone Charles Rothwell A.Armstrong Stewart Fraser Feels realistic and should see us in the top 6 again, though the defence could let us down.
-
Not sure anyone who's made the career choice to join Man Utd post Ferguson has reached their potential, that along with injuries I'd say are what did it for him.
-
Think she'll be gone soon, doesn't suit her to be part of the losing team at the next election so might as well blow up her current position and then come back as the anti-establishment choice after the election.

I know the main Tory strategy at this point is to scare the population in to thinking we're all going to be destroyed by the great woke tide, and they are the last defence against it. But they're getting so ridiculous about it now, I wonder if a lot of even their 'new Tory' supporters might think "hmmm, this is starting to feel a bit like nonsense".

No, but THB has the option to reject us so if they wanted to keep him they could.

Unreal strike partnership on Championship Manager 00/01. -
For the most part the 12 policies are pretty solid when run through one by one, it was going for so much in one manifesto that undermine it all. His 2017 manifesto, which was a lot less ambitious, was a lot more popular. The 2019 brexit policy was a political disaster too (and objectively foolish). That coupled with the media going absolutely ham to destroy him, it was always destined to be a disaster.

"Defend his right to say what the fuck he likes", but you object to people calling him out for it?
-
I think what makes the traitors good is that they have a reasonably normal set of people. Even when it's not celebrities, most reality shows are full of "influencers" and it makes it inauthentic. This is just good old Big Brother style tension, with injected confrontation, it's great. And yes, one particular talent in this years show.

If we're talking greatest sportsman/women (and I would split it out), then you have to look at sports where there is a ton of global competition. For example being the best tennis player means you're the best tennis player of, for arguments sake, 100 million tennis players worldwide. Football is more but then is a team sport. Fuck it, just give it to Michael Jordan.

Greatest snooker player even and currently, but no snooker player is going to be the greatest sports person alive.

If he goes does leave us 1 DM short or its expected Charles or Awe are good enough cover?

Nonsense, Obafemi has/had plenty of ability as he showed at times. I don't know the ins and outs, but my perception is he doesn't seem to be able to keep himself fit and on form for large periods of time which is stopping him being a decent top Championship/lower prem level striker.
