Well played Luke Shaw & Adam Lallana. Those two really stood out today - especially Shaw. Pochettino has a job picking up the lads after 3 straight defeats. I still maintain that the FA Cup game up at Sunderland was a big factor to our recent poor form. We had 57% possession of the game today... but we just can't find the target. Liverpool looked exactly what they are : title contenders. We need that early season confidence & belief we had back - and soon - starting next week at Palace.

+1. Been there. Seen it. Done it. None of this is new to Southampton Football Club. Sure, we're enjoying the best era/football/period we've had for a long, long time - but eventually things all change... except us - the fans.

To be honest, I can't see Sunlan scoring more than one goal in this game against a rearguard of Boruc, Clyne, Fonte, Loven & Shaw. I just can't see it. They thumped a very poor Fulham side yesterday (who are going down - without question), and although that was a great result, they will find us much more of a threat than Fulham. Anyone remember how poor they (Fulham) were at SMS? Providing our attacking threat is there for the 90 minutes, the back four & Boruc should be more than capable of making things hard for the home side. Added to that ; Sunlan go to Old Trafford on the following Wednesday for the return leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final with a slender lead, and may - just may - have one eye on that. 2-1 away win for Saints therefore.
