There are 20 opportunities to manage in the PL every season (some of those won't even be realistic as clubs will stick with their manager). If half the clubs change manager that is still only 30 opportunities per season. Are you really suggesting that from all the leagues throughout the world there is not one single, capable manager who would be willing to show what they can do in one of the most watched leagues in the world? I don't buy it.

I suspect (but in no way certain), that the rise is due to 'foreign' students and their dependents coming to the UK. Whilst I assume the figure is accurate, if it is derived from students, then it is also misleading as they would all have limited time visas and wouldn't be 'permanent' residents. In 2022 / 2023 there were approx 660k non EU students (a good number of them would have had dependents with them, which is no longer allowed).

Farmer Giles's cunning plan is therefore nonsense as we didn't need to 'cut our cloth accordingly' as we didn't need to cut it all. If we had not signed a single player this Summer, banked the PL cash for the season, there wouldn't have been a single player available for us to sign for the Championship next season. Not one.
