The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
Weston Super Saint replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Apparently she does. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdxy1kp73y9o What a load of nonsense though. She shouldn't be forced out of her job for that. -
He's in the papers today, slagging off Greg Wallace for insulting his wife.
-
It's not even a real plan. It's fucking insane to even suggest this is a legitimate plan. It's not. It's just something Walter Mitty has made up in a desperate attempt to try and fit what is happening into a 'plan' rather than admit we're being run by clowns. Just like the desperate attempts to justify the shit transfers because of psr innit something something.
-
We didn't need to spend a single penny in the summer for the first plan (relegation) to happen. Farmer Giles's cunning plan is therefore nonsense as we didn't need to 'cut our cloth accordingly' as we didn't need to cut it all. I'll add the @trousers klaxon here as well as no doubt our Walter Mitty Farmer will come back with his usual bollocks about spending millions of pounds on next year's championship players as there definitely wont be any others any better next summer that we could have bought - some of them even with just the interest gained on banking 120+ million for a year, let alone spending a year's wages completely unnecessarily.
-
Then you haven't been reading Farmer Giles's posts as this is exactly what he is telling us the plan is. Not only that, but we also spent millions on players in the summer ready for our championship push next season. It's definitely a bold plan.
-
And as for Kuryu Matsuki, if we hadn't acted so quickly and decisively we could have easily missed out there.
-
No, you're absolutely right. If we had not signed a single player this Summer, banked the PL cash for the season, there wouldn't have been a single player available for us to sign for the Championship next season. Not one. They would all be 'unavailable'. Good job we acted when we did. We'd never be caught with our pants down. No siree!

Those in glass houses....
-
Yeh, but chopping and changing something something.
-
Bless the thick Farmer.
-
After spending millions on Ramsdale and paying him many thousands of pounds per week.... Dumb people like Farmer Giles claiming this is all part of the cunning plan, but the exact same result could have been achieved without spending a single penny in the transfer window, let alone arranging loans.
-
You've missed the most important metric of possession. People keep harping on about those completely irrelevant points things...
-
Farmer Giles, inventing history to suit his made up 'FACTS'. PSR introduced to the PL in 2013. Brentford promoted to the PL in 2021 - 8 years after PSR started. 'Before' PSR, Brentford were in League 1. Fucking visionary of them to combat PSR and change little since then. Absolute Walter fucking Mitty.
-
Farmer Giles in his nonsense 'PSR innit' argument managing to confuse himself. Yet again.

Cameron's pig. -
Only one I can think of is that they won't let you in to any more games this season. You decide if that's good or bad 😉
-
None of those are going to go away if the question is 'if you support assisted dying under certain circumstances' are they?
-
Quantify what 'progress' should look like? Not sure you can improve on 70%+ possession, so we're already perfect by that matrix. Team bonding and goodwill towards the manager is through the roof so that can't be improved. We are already the bravest team in the world, so no improvement possible there. What metrics can be improved - it's not points, goals or league position because they are irrelevant?
-
That is the question on the bill isn't it? The specific circumstances being : 1. The patient must be terminally ill. 2. That terminal illness must be in its last six months.
-
Which has been bloody fantastic.

Fabulous advert. So inclusive.

The way he went on and on and on about Liz Truss, longer than her stay at the top, suggests it's all women in politics.
