  1. We had two red cards rescinded last season. One of them led to a historic defeat. I don't recall us getting an apology. Man up Everton, its var......its always been shit.
  2. I'm hoping the 2nd half will be more energy sapping than that. Both teams just mincing about with little concern. Come on, tackles, knocks, cards....all of it. Both these teams are in our focus now.
  3. Unpopular opinion alert. I was totally bewildered yesterday when Christian Erikison came on. Down to ten, being run ragged, and here's the good news story the football world has been waiting for. I'd be pretty unhappy with Thomas Frank if I were a Brentford fan. They are in free fall, and he looks a bit clueless. And pandering to this news story isn't going to help them. Eddie Howe even saying what a nice moment it was. Yeah, 2-0 up playing against a shit team down to ten, I bet you were in dreamland! I'm glad CE is well, and still has a football career, that is great news. But what a circus yesterday was. Tin pot team going down.........
  4. I hope the players are sensing just how big of a opportunity this game is. Get through this round and we'll give anyone a game in the next. No fear. Looking forward to watching WHU struggle against Wolves tomorrow while we enjoy our extra long rehabilitation. This game is ours to lose. I'm not even too bothered about 5-6 changes for Villa at the weekend.
  5. Leeds are so broken right now. They are unlucky to not have pulled a goal back, but they look like they could concede any amount again today.
  6. Nice weekend of football with the win safely wrapped up! I love it when a plan comes together!
  7. There's enough of a gap between these two games to continue with the same team. We should should let the momentum continue. The cup game is massive. We have to put all our eggs into that basket, because we look in a great position to upset a big team. After these games are out the way, then shake the team up for the Villa game. This is a massive six days for us. Come out of this well, and we are going to have a very exciting end to the season.
  8. Conte has well and truly spat his dummy out. Lots of speculation over his future in the coming days. Its like he likes making the papers.
  9. To be fair to FF, he has played over 120 games for us. I thrust him far more than the other two. But if Alex has that new contract, I can't see us doing any big business for a keeper this summer.
  10. If 'our' mini break stops them implementing the five subs rule, then I'm all for it. But, I reckon we need to throw them of the scent by switching to the 55th min mark......
  11. Ings really made a foolish decision. Turning down that record contract from us was a big mistake. We know he loves playing, and loves scoring goals. So now he gets an extra 10%. But he's out of favour. He struggles to break into the team, and can't add to his goals tally. He looks annoyed. A penny for his thoughts right now, I bet its regret!
  12. Looked like a hit piece. Smelled like a hit piece....... Looking forward to tomorrow so I stop taking it personally.
  13. Nothing wrong with that at all. As soon as we missed out on the L1 play-offs, I wanted rid of the strongest team in preperation for our next assault. Its only natural. What makes it more important this year is, Newcastle will affect all of the transfer fees this summer for the whole of the EPL. That will cause us trouble. If they get a year in the wasteland, it would be good for football in general.
  14. I do hope Chelsea and Broja recognise the potential problems for his great return. This lad will not be happy with ten minute cameo's for half a season. He looked thoroughly hacked off yesterday when he came off, then had to watch an old man steal a bit of his goal scoring glory. He is nowhere near the finished article, and they will not put up with the rawness we are witnessing. (Not a dig, I really like the lad) I really hope he makes a well thought out decision on his future. It would be awful to watch Chelsea kill off his desire, and ruin his development.
  15. Well, what have we learned today..... Title race back on...... Relegation race suck Everton back in. Bet Pool are happy tonight!
  16. Complete and utter domination. For the first 20 minutes I wondered if Everton could keep the tempo up, as I've never seen them work so hard. Turns out, they couldn't. We should have put them to the sword really, but some great team play and build ups involved in some wayward shooting and wrong decision making. For all Evertons diving, and thrashing around on the deck in peril, I thought they were lucky to finish the game with 11. Top Half Baby! UTS
  17. If Toon get anything from today, then I won't waste anymore energy on wanting them to get sucked into to relegation. That team is poor. Time to earn all the praise you've been getting Eddie.
  18. Come on Vesti, make that 15M feel even bigger. Jesus, these part time postmen haven't played for 67 days. Come on Vesti, do me proud!! 😁
  19. I've always said to anyone who'd listen that England will be beaten in a final before they win a tournament again. And they only went and did that. I have hopes for us. Probably a League cup win if we can keep the conveyor belt running. There's always room for hope.
  20. MP & NC leaving were the catalyst for that extraordinary summer window. I imagine a few of the players (well at least Lallana) thought the wheels had come off and we'd be relegated the next season. I wouldn't expect to see a situation like that again unless there is some big turmoil behind the scenes. We did amazingly well to calm the waters. I'll always have a soft spot for Ron for how he handled that first month. Not many other gaffers would have had his approach.
  21. Just imagine if by the time we play them, they are missing all the new boy saviours! I might start believing in God.......or karma........or both!
  22. Not too bothered about the noises from our club, but what I do find terribly irritating is the medias reaction to our good performances. They act all incredulous about us having the audacity to have good footballers here. How very dare we.
  23. And that 7-1 in 1996. That's the first defeat that made me feel physically sick. What a wretched day that was. Then Beattie leaving us for them. Fast forward some years and that opening day depressing defeat. 3-0, taken apart when my hopes were so high. Not sure why that game stands out, as we've had loads of them against us over the years. They have been my under the radar hate team for a long time.
  24. Big fan of Broja. I really hope he makes a good choice regarding his career. It would be such a shame to see him go back and get little game time. And he is not ready to be a starter for Chelsea, that is clear. They wouldn't have the patience. One other thing that bumps us up the loan list should be, Chelsea should recognise that we have taken good points off their direct rivals. That is a nice additional incentive.
  25. FF saving shots at his near post. That's the biggest change. I love it!
