Do you really believe we will be promoted this season,Yes or No ?
It's There replied to bjk's topic in The Saints
Yes All teams get injuries... and generally we've coped with ours...and we will strengthen. Our away form, I believe, will improve to compensate for a few results that may not quite go for us at home. We will get promotion as other teams will end up taking points off each other... and our FANTASTIC start means we are rightly in pole position! Name a better team- .... no one is better imho, although we may have the odd result go against us, eg Doncaster. I fully expect NA to be manager of the season and to be plotting Saints course in the premiership by the end of April. -
Nothing to fear! We are on a superb roll, the players and manager believe- the manager has instilled a number of shapes to counteract anything the opposition may offer. I predict more gushing football after about 15 minutes when Saints have sussed out Brightons hspe and tactics. 3;1 saints (1 is a late consolation)

The best bit from the article was where it said the players returned from holiday having stuck to their required regimes...player responsibility that meant no wasted weeks on catchup- getting fit etc. Well done the players! Of course well done to the medical/conditioning team/ coaches etc too!!

Win FA Cup or 4th Placed Premiership Finish...?
It's There replied to GazzerMaBoy's topic in The Saints
No doubt- CUP every time- It's all about WINNING, not aim for 4th and £££- Most who were alive can name the FAC team of '76 and the positive effect on the club and the whole area. We were 4th around Christmas during Strachan's era, but I can not name all the team that played around then, and that was only 7/8 years ago. -
Saints V Watford.4- 0. Post match chat!!
It's There replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Who do Saints fear in this division?....noone! - Whom do the other teams fear- Saints! This is OUR SEASON!We are top because we deserve to be- I look forward to the next 4 games - they may be hard, but I expect 8/9 points- which means key rivals will be disappointed! -
Let's sing and have fun! I don't believe in jinxes and why shouldn't we sing celebratory victory songs like - We are the champions, we're gonna win the league etc. As another poster said, when was the last time we could... and another thing- this season records are being broken, the Boss won't settle for anything less than victories... so enjoy, learn the words and let's sing our way to the Premier league!
-
The boss also said Harding and Richardson picked up knocks/tweaks in training- I imagine they'll be back next week.
-
I'm realistic...but why are lots of posters saying Leicester have really good players etc. WE have really good players and NO team will want to play Saints when they are on form...and we are! Sure, we will, at some point lose, but why, when all records are being broken and some of the play exquisite at times, should we fear anyone? Let them worry...I'm going to enjoy the ride and expect many more victories this season! It is possible to be optimistic and realistic- and at least the football is worth watching.

"Adkins is the best manager we have had since Strachan"
It's There replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
What I like about our current manager is his upbeat attitude, clear focus and a desire for the players to be able to adapt to situations- a change from the hit long and hope brigade. The transfer policy, too, of getting in younger players who can progress together is also one I subscribe too. I get the impression that this is goig to be a fun season, and am desperately hoping for a winning start - what a pleasant change that would be! -
Definitely worth another listen having got promoted...bigs up the u18 back in December , and they've had a pretty good year too!... I like the way he promotes positive and determined action and belief!
-
Relax...Saints will give a guard of honour...then proceed to show great determination and desire to win...and will do so by 3:2 - Saints fans will leave happy, Brighton fans will still be happy they've won the league...but the doubts will have been sown for next season! Llalana back too is my prediction, schn on bench
-
Here's the change. Saints will no longer let us down... they've prooved that over the previous 8 matches. Confidence is high, but feet are firmly on the ground. Saints will win tomorrow 2:0 Happy Days- Promotion will be achieved with 2 games to spare imo.
-
I bet Stephens is glad he joined Saints- comes on in second Half and we score 3 to win- dream debut...and well done Forte!!!!!!!!!

Saints v MK Dons,1st half & half time chat...
It's There replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
OK-time for the fightback- all home teams in Lg 1 to win...COYR -
Off to see Saints with my kids tomorrow, for the first time this season... and in the family enclosure for the first time in over 30 odd years supporting the Saints. Trust the big win will cement the support in my family at least!
-
Come on Hartlepool!
-
On another point.I like the fact that the team are playing a varirty of systems, not just 442. It allows for greater flexibility in a match and has been one of the main criticisms of Saints over recent years.
-
Today I'm going to enjoy the game and result. We need to play against the best to know how far we have to progress... Be positive! COYR
-
Time for a second half rally...we're going to win this one today - a very important win!
-
Yes, yes and yes- Get...I mean continue with a winning run and go into the match sky high with confidence. We are a much better team than last time in 2009!
