What I want is this site to go down when we are 6 0 up!!!

How do we compare to this time last season? Are we more than 10 points further ahead? I guess we must be...but it could be hard to replicate the storming finish to the last half of the season. Mind you, this league is going to be a lot closer and no team, including Brighton, will run away with it. I predict we'll be in the top 6 by Christmas, but not secure in top 3 til March.

first opinions good. I like the fact he wasn't one of the tried and tested (?) managers like Brown - but rather has firm loyalty and a clear desire to "play" football! I believe that, given TIME, he will be a good manager for us even if we fail to get promoted this year. Having written that, I'd be surprised if we weren't there or there abouts as the league is not as strong this year (imho). To be a great manager he'll get Pulis playing, as a sub, when we're 4:0 up...and Pulis will surprise the doubters by being quite good!

Hm...it's nt all doom and gloom- sounded like they played well in patcyes- hit bar etc...a goal will do wonders and surely it'll come with Barnard back- He must be really frustrated like we are!

This season will be harder than people think- bu at th end I expect us to have 78 points...and be promoted in second place

Simples- give him a basic contract- not high, but with good bonuses for each match he plays. In meantime, he gets fit, does lots of PR in community, works with youngsters and 1st team...oh I should be manager!

Lol! Quality signings last season...remember Fonte in Jan...what a bargain! I have no worries! Sleep easy, enjoy the Sun!

I want and expect a super season...but can we PLEASE make a good start for the first time in ages...at least win 3 of the first 5 games!

I've got no probs with him coming back..providing he doesn't play on the right wing...never forget hammering by Watford at home 3.0- beat defender/found space then kept cutting back in...However, confidence was low and the team had a useless manager. Pardew and his team are clearly very good at motivating and getting players to be fitter! If he doesn't return, then we must be getting someone better!!

And who were are most successful managers- only DJ (just) and GWS - Roll on the next few months with STABILITY and common vision- a pleasant summer!
