  1. Are we making a profit this year, as attendances are up and the stadium has no debt? Is MR Leib..(sp) glad he's purchased Saints? And thank you to all for the rise from the ashes of Southampton FC!!!!!!!!
  2. But what abput the league???
  3. Unbelievable. Keep winning please- next crowd at SMS over 30000- my prediction!

  7. “The league is more important” is a quote often written, but it misses the point. Each match has the opportunity to shape our day, even week, maybe month, but it is foolish to look too far ahead. Winning on Tues in the JTP will allow Saints fans to visit Wembley- only the second time in 31 years…and an opportunity to win a Trophy. Ok so it’s not the league or FAC, but it is something!! Winning breeds good habits…the more success we have the more it will shape the future and then maybe lead to promotion in the next 3 years (hopefully less). But for all who cry, it’s not important, STOP- just enjoy the moment, let a smile go across your face, and let’s propel our team to Wembley!!
  8. ta for that. interesting read
  9. A MUST WIN Game, I feel, to help keep focus on playoffs- we don't want a bad start to a very important week!!! And NO injuries please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. As with all opinions, not all will agree! However, a little perspective is always good. Let's rewind, from AP's perspective. appointed to Saints , with -10 and no scouts, backup staff etc and thoroughly demoralised players. Little time in Summer transfer window- buys and loans a few quickly. Gets backroom staff in and assesses playing strength. Prssure on everyone as Saints bottom of league. 10 games in and Saints, although quite hard to beat, aren't really playing well. Finally off the bottom, form improving, next target out of bottom 4, beginning to play well, but aware of busy schedule- JPT a bonus AP review- needs better players than available as injuries inevitable. First window to take proper remedial action as he now knows the full strength of squad..and those who can/can't deliver- Had some difficult away games. Buys new players..aware that they may take time to gel- Brentford result ok, bt disappointing to lose when winning (a la Millwall). gets the 3 points v Stockport. If I were AP, I wouldn't care about performances for a couple of matches- just want the points(3 if possible) that will take a little pressure off before the final charge at an unlikely, but possible play off. Whatever happens, the squad is now large enough to cope, has a younger (but not immature) group of players who are hungry to prove that they were right to sign for Saints. There will be less coming in in the summer, the team will be a unit the the Championship (ever optimistic) will know that Saints are back! AP may not get everything right, but he has a pretty good track record. In AP I trust!
  11. Sorry- JTP final at Wembley. Gives us practise for the play off finals!!!!!
  12. Facup Pompey athome!!
  13. Pompey!
  14. Would like home to Arsenal or Villa
  15. many thanks from someone stuck in the middle of nowhere (West Mercia near Wales!)
  16. It is a slim chance to get into play off spot, but AP is right to declare it and aim for it. I do think our odds are about right at 7 to 1 because this year there are actually, relatively speaking, some "big" teams in this league . Next season should actually be easier...but I don't want to wait that long!
  17. Pardew has bigged him up - hence feels like a forth signing. Encouraging!
  18. I had the same thought about Surman
  19. AT least Pericard will have some good coaching, and that may make all the difference! I AP I trust
  20. Yep! Can't believe I made that mistake- must 've been tired!
  21. out of interest, where is the source for this? (Doesn't surprise me btw)
  22. Is gaydamak involved with 2 British clubs then? Surely this is illegal under FA rules? Anyone know?
  23. What we really need is "LUCK"! ie..no injuries to key players, post coming to our rescue when only leading by one goal etc. If Lady Luck is with us, then we have the attributes to succeed in geting to the playoffs. Mind you, it would be more fun if Leeds, Norwich and Charlton all had a dip in form and results..
  24. BTW is Jahdi injured?
