  1. Tator: Like any relegated side, it's about keeping that group together. 😀
  2. 7 of our players in their half?! Get back! 🙂
  3. Good proactive clearance from Welington.
  4. Rusk trying to make sure we get that magical point. If we get a gift as well, all the better. #cannymanagement
  5. It hit off Sule and went to City. But it was a touch. 🙂
  6. I've little sympathy if players are doing that, and I didn't think it was a foul either. 🙂
  7. Well Dibling, if you wore shin pads, that wouldn't have hurt so much.
  8. While I'm waiting for us to touch the ball, I'm day dreaming of Lawrie Mac unveiling De Bruyne to join his team of veteran all stars. 🙂
  9. Martin binned Alcaraz for not fitting his style. Here we are a couple of managers down the line playing a damage limitation formation, hoping for a quick counter attack, which Alcaraz did under Selles. I guess Sule is the closest thing we have to that, despite the lack of an outcome. Here's hoping today will be different to all the other times (about as close to a @davefizzy14 sentiment as I can muster 🙂)
  10. They did! ( Because I read it online, as I was learning about the Speedwell half an hour ago 🙂)
  11. Is that the Pope or SOG? Possibly SOG has been declared Pope? 🙂
  12. Saints fans about to discover that the festival mudslide, wasn't mud...
  13. "Play dead" to illustrate our season.
  14. Not only interesting, but has solved what moment in time to put on the badge for SR. The Speedwell! Begins on a journey to a promised land, issues probably caused by overmasting at the top, and returns in need of repair! 🙂 We could do with a Speedwell, or it's prior name, Swiftsure, in the team too.
  15. It would be unusual for a badge just to have a face in it. But Rasmus is Mr Football, so I don't think there would be many complaints. We could have "If it's not broken, break it" in Latin going round the outside of it. 🙂
  16. I guess if we're not going to be Wayne Rooney's Southampton, to maximise our Wrexham playing soccerball profile, it's the next best thing. 🙂
  17. Nothing is too simple for MLG to grasp. Nothing is too inaccurate for MLG to defend. For those who'd like to see The Mayflower on a club badge, there's Plymouth and Boston, who have somehow usurped Saints rightful use of it. 🙂 Is that 4 or 5 complete humour failures from MLG just this week?
  18. I did read your first post in the OTT/exaggerated tone I think you were going for, Gio. My response was going to be "you forgot stubble, pullovers and a "philosophy". And I only added the last one to explain Nathan. But then I saw the responses, and instead reached for my trusty pitchfork. 🙂
  19. Auguste Dupin in spirit, Clouseau in action. 🙂
  20. Came on with 8 mins to go. So not much chance to see much. As a team VA didn't do much in that period, so nothing that stood out for him.
  21. Ooh. I didn't know you worked in design. Classy. 🙂
  22. A slow start to the second half. Those gaps at full back came into it again. A nice cut in and shot at an angle lobbed over the VA keeper for Nancy's third. VA offered nothing in response. On around 62, a better chip into the middle would have had 2 Nancy players lined up to make it 4. 10 mins later, it was 4. VA's defence slow in tracking back, slow to close down and slow to put in any block. VA keeper once again a frustrated figure. VA got a third around 80, with a nice turn and shot in the middle. Other than a shot across the face of goal towards a well marked player at the back post, that was it. VA didn't create enough to get close to compensating for conceding so many. It did look as though there were some fringe players coming on, without names on their shirts. Far from a classic game. Not too many good moves or passages of players. Yet 7 goals and more VAcdisapointment.
  23. The last time, I gave a grumpy "no!" only for someone to put up a nicer one right afterwards. I'd be confident neither the club nor their design agencies could come up with a thing as nice as what we have though. Newcastle say it doesn't translate to a digital world. I quickly checked, a d the internet turns out to be capable of supporting pictures in lots of sizes and resolutions. So, I take it they mean that it's awkward to get sweat shop labour to create and put it onto shirts as cheaply. They also said that although they love the crest (not enough to keep it, mind) "the symbol that represents us needs to be able to keep pace." So, black and white stripes turning to red and dripping blood at the edge?
