Catching a little of Moyes' conference. He was asked about what style of play he'll bring. He complimented the question. Then he said that, as he assessed the strengths of the players he has, he'd be focused on winning as many games as possible until the end of the season. That done, then he'd look to make adjustments to better suit the style he'd like to coach. Quite a contrast to the philosophy-at-any-cost managers. Moyes is looking to keep his club in the PL and take them into their new stadium. Then, he'll be looking at broader changes to better suit him. Also noted that he's got a 2.5 year contract, rather than and end of season one. If things go well, that gives Moyes the chance to improve things for the club. It then also gives the club a chance to back Moyes. Hopefully, they'd do that, if they stay up and not move him on. This was on 5 live's Monday night club. So, a couple of them immediately ignored all of the above. They promoted Potter as a better option due to age. Then pointed out possession based football as better than Moyes' approach. Because that's been working well for the PL's possession based coaches of late.
