  1. And now it's a cultural bleak, dirty, grim, desolate dump. ๐Ÿ™‚ It's just a platform by way of promoting history, as a way of getting some funding for some projects/ redevelopment in areas desperately needing it. I'd be happily surprised if this funding/ redevelopment was of the same levels as when it was the EU City of Culture. Not a Brexit moan, it's just because of the pooled funding that was involved, that led to bigger projects, and some lasting transformation.
  2. Doctor: "I'm afraid you only have two weeks left to live" Patient: "Is that a Ross Stewart 2 weeks, that could be decades?"
  3. Darn Biden, putting delaying tactics in before his departure. ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. "ploughing your lonely furrow" probably feeds into his self image as a beacon of justice in the face of enemies, rather than the hateful, intolerant person all sides are realising he is.
  5. A stable first team, or rather a stable approach under Ralph, with the strategy they brought was what they'd hinged their master plan on. When their decisions helped that go pear shaped, they've been at a loss much of the time since.
  6. Take a look at the forum now You're alone in your abuse You burn all your CoT bridges down And now you know what's the use The harsher the posts, the more that you've lost, yes, it's true If you make a mistake where you couldn't relate to the clues (Yes, that's true) Can you read hints, bursting through your message board? Can you read clues, bursting through your message board? Can you read hints, bursting through your message board? Can you read clues, bursting through your message board? From Supergrass' bootleg album, Moving...To New Forum Software.
  7. Wow. Do you type your own posts, or simply dictate them to a servant? Brand cling film. I never thought I'd see the day I shared html in such company. Right. I've egged that more than egg visiting an egg factory on Scrambled Eggs for the World Day. When my actual response was to mentally file it away for a future shopping trip. ๐Ÿ™‚ H&W: Well, that's where the hole is. Whitey: A hole?! We used to dream of having a hole to take the stench out the room! H&W: A room?!... followed by similar hijinks.
  8. Or even... " I could have stayed in Wales, and married a nice dug out from the valleys. But as pound for pound the best stadium facilities manager in Europe, I wanted to be part of dug out heritage, while leading the club into new dugouts, in League One."
  9. I think we'd all be quite happy to bin this season for some quality time playing Daley Thompson's Decathlon. ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. Nice to see VisitGreenland off to a quick start to attract tourists this year.
  11. That experience is why information on all the groups he hates are in colour coded folders. Only people with access to vital stationary catalogue have that kind of system. Oddly enough for this discussion, the folder on fighting child abuse is quite thin, as SOG considers some of those offences "trivial" and not a "crime of the century."
  12. A follow up article regarding the site that was hosting the Pelicot chat room. The number of other offences it was hosting, the shifting location of both site and owner and sums involved stand out. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jan/08/french-police-arrest-founder-of-website-used-by-dominique-pelicot
  13. Does Ralph get a striker in this scenario? Just that it's hard to picture one, even in a fantasy setting. ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. Great post @redkeith. Thanks for your work in doing this. Shame about the trajectory of the contents.
  15. X News... Trump stable in hospital...Attack on Iceland abandoned following irate shopper trolley attacks...US military spokesperson General C'Atastrophe declares military not geographically challenged, to passersby 10miles from the press conference... [insert person] does [insert activity] to [insert person/group] and under new X law, must prove their innocence...World politicians used as sock puppets by Trump and Musk continues... This is X News...
  16. "Don't tell him, Pike!" Another thread of Rupert's plan. Using Sammy Lee and Adam Lallana to show Elon that, considering how many Saints players end up at Liverpool, buying us is just getting in early. So, given the choice.... Sport Republic with Ankerson? Musk Jr & Rupert?
  17. Insert ACME joke about whole squad getting away with robbery of wages. ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Musk is in for a shock when Rupert executes a reverse take over of X, turning it into an award winning radio station. ๐Ÿ™‚
  19. A massive heavy talisman to give to each of our opponents, so we have a chance of keeping up with them during a game.
  20. Much like a lot of posts, that was a dispiriting hammering. 5-0, with Ramsdale making saves and them squandering a number of other opportunities. In reply...nothing. A team that's worse than the sum of its parts. A defence that looked uncertain as a 3, and wide open as a 2. Attacking fullbacks that offered nothing going forward, little defensive cover, and in the case of Sugawara, gifted them a goal. A midfield that consisted of a kid the previous manager didn't fancy (and who left lots of space for them on Saturday and gave a away a penalty) and an out of position player who is a squad player on his better days. Up front we had a kid who tries hard, but is raw and players who might as well be strangers to the rest of the side. Brentford were fitter across the whole 90+ minutes. They linked up well. Or rather, they could link up with the ease our defence allowed them to, and they took advantage of that. They were stronger and sharper. RM's possession game gave us lots of the ball, nothing up front and some poor decision making. The last couple of games have seen us give up whatever possession we had, replacing it with flat, spiritless football, with lots of gaps and still some poor decision making. It's transfermarket, but Brentford recruited solidly (and with good value) over time to stay up, and then have spent a bit more to help keep it that way. We've not kept up with others, and tried to game the system with Mr Football, resulting in 2 relegation. We got rid of our better core to reduce the wage bill (while others just wanted away from being a football drone) It was terribly clear which team had recruited better on Saturday. They were toying with us while we didn't lay a glove on them. M. Flekken 13 K. Lewis-Potter 19 S. van den Berg 23.6 N. Collins 26.85 M. Roerslev 0.06 M. Damsgaard 15 M. Jensen 3.8 C. 21. Happy New Year Hypo. The second part gives guidance on examples of what isn't. "...which would not automatically make you an Islamophobe unless you were using the language of racism and Islamophobic; and calling out and campaigning against criminality where Muslims may happen to be involved without impugning all Muslims.โ€™ The report emphasises how the APPG definition of Islamophobia is in fact in favour of free speech:" I think that a lot of issues raised fall into the realm of criminality, as they would regardless of the religion of those perpetrating the offences.
  22. Looking forward to the new forum bounce.
  23. I just thought the site had gone on the same holiday as the team on Saturday. ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad it's back, and thanks for the work put in to get past the errors.
