Ah, you may want to re-check your details. Although a lot of the crew were listed as being "from Southampton" this was usually just where they were living whilst they worked on the cruise ships. They were actually from all over the UK, loads of people came down from Merseyside to obtain work etc. I don't think that many were actually born in Southampton.

I have a PS3 and have never had a single problem with it. Its one of the best things I have ever bought. But, from the games you list, and the fact you have had a Wii, I would suggest you get an xbox. Maybe when you are all grown up you could get a PS3. Seriously, get whatever most of your mates have, as online gaming is where its at and there is no point getting one or the other if you cant play against your friends.

Same here, my ipod has been redundant since I got an iphone and has just sat in a draw for months and months. Glad I can now swap it for a brand new one, that will go straight on ebay !

I'm getting the impression that it would be easier to list the Indian restaurants in Southampton that are right Sh*t holes.

A) Everyone knows we have (at least) the AOC money. B) Sharpe and Shaqiri don't play in the same position This is the last of my 3 for the day, so I don't want to end on a bad note Turkish. Like I said, i think its all bullsh*t anyway, but I can see some sense in signalling some intent.

I'm not saying SFC have done this, but I can see some sense in releasing a story about how we have made a bid for "player X", even if we haven't gone down the correct route (Don't forget, all a club needs to do it fax an offer to the parent club for it to count as a "bid") I think the story is nonsense anyway, but playing devils advocate, I could see such a ploy to be quite a good bit of positive PR prior to the Jan window opening up. Its like speed camera's, its a hell of a lot cheaper to put signs up saying speed camera's are present, than to actually install the speed camera - its has the same desired effect. As for our actual targets being put off, I don't think I have enough time to list all the players that have signed for a club after the clubs 1st choice target hadn't worked out.

No harm in bidding for players such as Shaqiri (even if NC / NA know that there is zero chance of him wanting to join us) It sends out a great message to our ACTUAL targets...

Got my Mrs a kindle for xmas, its easy to find free books etc online. Go to a website called, isohunt.com and do a search for .mobi or .epub files and you should find hundreds and hundreds. You will need to have either Vuze or bitTorrent installed to manage the download (I can help if you are having problems) Obviously, downloading books for free is illegal and not encouraged on this forum.

Hello, I'm thinking about getting a NAS enclosure for my home, to set up personal cloud storage. Ideally, I would be able to access the files on it from my Win7 laptop, Win7 PC, Iphone and Ipad; both at home, via my LAN, and remotely via the web. Can anyone suggest a good enclosure that is Ipad2 compatible, I only need to enclosure as I can get hold of SATA drives via work. Have found this Noontec one, but it only has one hard drive slot, ideally the enclosure would have 2. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/home/product/53021/noontec-n5-3-5--gigabit-nas-enclosure Don't want to spend too much on it, so anything around the £50 - £100 mark would be good. Cheers in advance.

The Day The Devils Dropped In - By Neil Barber Brilliant account of the British airbourne drops in Normandy, in the few hours leading up to the D-Day invasion. Wont go in to details about the story, but the way that this book is written really makes the personal stories and accounts stand out. Its as if you are there and are being given a running commentary as the events unfold. A great book in its own right, but essential reading for anyone planning on visiting the site.

Kate Bush - 50 Words for snow. I’m a big fan of Kate Bush so I was always going to like it. As for a review, I’d like to copy this one from Metacritic..... "This is without doubt one of the best releases this year, alongside the achievement as best Christmas/winter album ever released. Kate bush once again fails to disappoint with this album, with seven mesmerizing songs that have the clever ability to paint a variety of settings, which transport to a scene of winter beauty. The metaphorical and literal implications are well executed, with stories telling of the indomitable spirit of the search for a snowflake, a ghostly lake spirit in search of a dog, an eerie, yet evocative relationship with a snowman, the humanizing of a yeti, a timeless partnership spanning hundreds of years and lastly a religious portrayal of life surrounded by angels. It’s hard to tell of an album that accomplishes so much, as well as alongside a central theme to link the stories. This definitely requires multiple listens for maximum appreciation, as each time you'll find new aspects to the music as well as a deeper understanding of the meaning. The idea that the album is set against a backdrop of falling snow sums the story perfectly..It is essential."

Went to India in 1997, saw plenty of leppers. In fact Old Delhi reminded me a bit of Life Of Brian. "Penny for an ex lepper"

Surely the OP has to explain himself.....please can he they enlighten us as to how his young son ended up being a skate. How the hell has the wife got her way and turned him into one of the few. Would have liked to be a fly on the wall when that conversation took place, assuming there was one !!!!

I swear on Matt Le Tissier's life that my cousin was called Wayne King, I say "was" as when he got to secondary school (funnily enough!!) he changed his surname by deed poll. I'm sure I've mentioned it before on here. Mate of mine at work used to go to school with a Richard Waddington...aka D1ck Wad !!!! I also work with someone who's name is Manmeet Gaiwad. I've had to have counselling to get over the hilarity of that
