One good thing about how bad this current team is, it really makes me appreciate some of our previous players more. I used to complain about Maya Yoshida for example. Loved him, but was very limited at passing. Guly used to wind me up, I loved him too, but thought he was quite wasteful sometimes. But now I’ve seen Wood and Downs, watching those two was actually like watching Messi and Maldini

Completely agree, the idea that we need more time at a lower level to “rebuild” is fanciful. We need to get back up ASAP to get the money rolling in. As much as I hate VAR, the PL etc. to the point I actually prefer the championship, we have to go back up as soon as possible. Having seen how poor most of the sides are in the championship this year.. yes. He will do a job for us imo. He never relied on his pace anyway.
