  1. No. No I can't.
  2. Especially now Salah has basically started a civil war. YNWA.
  3. Lots on social media about their fans lacking class and damaging the stadium too.
  4. People are going to circle back to this thread if Damien Downs leaves 🥲
  5. Cheer up. At least we've managed to survive 3 whole days this time.
  6. And trail by 54. May as well be trailing by 54,321.
  7. Australia are quite clearly better at cricket than England. That doesn't take away from the fact that Steve Smith has a thoroughly dislikeable face.
  8. An Australian scorecard with all batsmen contributing something. Wonder if England can do the same now.
  9. I really hope there are some terrible attendances for some of those group games. I assume they'll try to put the groups that have the lowest appeal (prob groups F, G and K) in Canada or Mexico to save face for the USA. No idea how the scheduling works mins.
  10. They're just taking this piss now. Could you imagine Atkinson and Carse doing this for England?
  11. Eugh, just woken up and not surprised in the slightest that the Aussies are still batting.
  12. It's written in the stars (and stripes) 🇺🇸
  13. AI is a powerful tool for improving argumentation skills and preparing for debates, but relying on it to "win" an argument poses ethical problems and practical limitations. It functions as a sophisticated assistant, not a replacement for genuine human reasoning, belief, and ethical judgment. How AI Can Help You Argue Better AI can significantly enhance your ability to formulate and structure arguments. Its main value lies in preparation and skill-building: Research and Information Gathering: AI can quickly process vast amounts of data, studies, and statistics to find factual support for your position, which strengthens evidence-based arguments. Identifying Counterarguments: Engaging in a debate with an AI can help you anticipate opposing viewpoints and uncover weaknesses or logical gaps in your own case, allowing you to prepare rebuttals effectively. Structuring and Refining Arguments: AI can help organize your points logically and articulate them in a clear, persuasive manner, improving the overall coherence of your argument. Practicing and Honing Skills: Using AI as a "sparring partner" for practice can sharpen your critical thinking and help you explore diverse perspectives, fostering intellectual growth. Limitations and Ethical Concerns Simply using AI-generated arguments to "win" is generally considered problematic and often ineffective in genuine human discourse. Lack of Authenticity and Belief: AI does not hold personal beliefs, emotions, or a stake in the outcome of an argument. Presenting AI's arguments as your own can be a form of deception and undermines the value of authentic human exchange. Inability to Grasp Nuance: AI struggles with the subtle emotional, social, and cultural nuances that are crucial in human persuasion. An argument that looks logical on paper may fall flat in a real-world, emotionally charged discussion. Risk of Incoherence or Error: AI models can sometimes generate plausible-sounding but factually incorrect or logically flawed information (hallucinations). Over-reliance can lead to an inability to defend these points under cross-examination, as high school debaters in one anecdote discovered when they lost a competition after using an AI to craft their entire case. Intellectual Passivity: Outsourcing the process of building an argument can hinder your own development of critical thinking and reasoning skills. Conclusion AI is an excellent support tool for better decision-making and preparation, but the human element—personal conviction, emotional intelligence, and genuine understanding—remains essential for a meaningful and successful argument. Using AI effectively means collaborating with it to enhance your own abilities, not using it as a shortcut to victory.
  14. What a stellar cast for the draw. https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments/mens/worldcup/canadamexicousa2026/articles/final-draw-ferdinand-brady-oneal-gretzky-judge?fbclid=IwdGRzaAOftlZleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAwzNTA2ODU1MzE3MjgAAR6RCAy1QOYc0aUN4hRBQ4h-qzMrE8OH0qON2I1Nnp39EEGCOo3KlfNB9OlHlw_aem_cocJeScJCrrF22g-dQ-bFA
  15. 50-50. Probably 80-20 by the end of the day.
  16. Starting early with the draw later today. Everyone excited? Who do we want England to get in the group stages? According to something I read apparently the worst case scenario (i.e highest ranking sides) would be Croatia, Panama and Jordan which doesn't feel particularly frightening. Suppose replacing Croatia with Scotland would add a bit of spice. Either way, am fully expecting the WC to be a bit of a bore fest until at least the last 16... Likely to be a few ex Saints in the tournament and potentially a couple of current ones (e.g the Irish).
  17. Leonardo da Vinci. What a twat and the Mona Lisa is butt ugly.
  18. Roots going to finish on <100 not out isn't he 😭
  19. Nah, they need to make it more like the Hundred. Appeal to the kiddy-winks who want to watch before school.
  20. Bloody hell Brook 🫣
  21. Just switched on as Crawley got out. Looks like we're in a positive position to reach 170, possibly even 180 before being all out.
  22. Are all Australians this weird? Even British journalists would be a bit embarrassed by the line of questioning.
  23. Massive inflatable Christmas decorations in people's gardens.
  24. Dexter Blackstock?
