I occasionally see Torquay in NLS, the level is far, far worse again. I saw better in the Tyro League as a kid.

Other than that incident, been better than most refs I’ve seen at this level. I also watch Cheltenham’s games when there isn’t a clash with Saints and it doesn’t get better as a standard down the leagues with the officials.

Agreed. Hope Cam doesn’t fall into the Smallbone trap of skipping the gym. Drew Surman did after Mick McCarthy bought him and made a very good career for himself after Saints wouldn’t push him. For all the noise from Will’s agent, there’s a reason Smallbone has been a free agent for 2 full months.

Great we’ve equalised but not put anywhere near a decent 45 minutes yet this season let alone 90. Played in 10-15 minute spells (good 5 mins here, good last 20 v Stoke and better last 25 at Watford).

Certainly both of those but there’s something else as well, a lot of players aren’t especially animated or even engaged. Barely moving when we are in possession, reverted back to not closing shots/crosses down and generally insipid. Better though from Manning and Larin! Hopefully that livens them up.
