Normally I'd not welcome any loan, but this season there may be some sense on having someone in to cover for Jay Rod until he regains fitness.
-
I've stopped buying any of this stuff. I pay enough for the season ticket, without being ripped off for shirts etc.

Is there any possibility of posters using this thread to pass on transfer rumours, as per its title, rather than as a ****-waving contest?
-
You're almost certainly right, but it would still be wonderful for this rumour to spread and give the Spurs fans something to worry about
-
Checked this out with a Dutch acquaintance a couple of weeks ago. He said Koo- man, but with the emphasis on the second syllable, so it's more Koo-MAN, than our usual English KOO-man. Also the 'man' sounds almost more 'marn' than 'man'.

Agreed. Plus if Morgan wants to move for CL football, he ain't going to get it at Spurs.

So do they ask the same questions all over again in the broadcast bit? -

Srrange idea.... What's the point of a private interview, when it is to the press? They might as well let us see/hear that too -
Blimey. Have QPR really only signed one player ? Poor old 'Arry will be down to the bare bones!

The battery life on most smartphones is ****e. The iPhone has the added annoyance of giving you no way to change the battery for a full one. If you really want battery life you'll have to get a phone with a physical keyboard like the blackberry q10, which has a touch screen as well. Don't know about you but I hate typing on a small touchscreen anyway ... My fingers are too big. But there are very few apps for Blackberry, so if you want much more than a browser, email and phone, you're tied into 'battery anxiety' until some firm cracks the technology.

Really?! You'd never know from most of the posts on this thread.

Define bigger club !

As well as the transfer fee itself, there is the issue of which club will pay more in wages. We don't want anyone to poach him.
-
if you look at it objectively, why would the club care about p.r. at the moment? We've bought our season tickets, and no one is buyng tickets for single matches for weeks yet. So they don't *need* good p.r. for a while yet. As long as they can announce some good news before the pre season games, they don't need to wory about p.r. They do need to sign players early enough for Koeman to have a good pre season training period, but that could wait a week or two yet.
-
Thick and ill-advised IMO. I doubt he could be arsed enough to bother to rub our noses in it. He doesn't care that much.

Appalling show of grace from the Club and some fans

He was my favourite player. Now I feel betrayed. All that guff only a short while ago when he signed a highly lucrative 5 year contract about how he'd be happy to spend all of his career playing for Saints in the PL, and then he tells the Liverpool interviewer that he's wanted to play for them since we played them this last season. As to any claim that he stayed with us when we went down the leagues, that's bull. As far as we know he had no other offers. And at that stage he wasn't actually rated that highly. Personally ly id have called his bluff over the 'never play' threat. He had 4 years left on his contract. What was he going to do - sulk for 4 years ? How would that have helped his career? He's behaved like a ****. Sod him. -
For christ's sake. Just say no!
-
This will be why Liverpool were so keen to biuy players so quickly -- before any news about Suarez going got out.
-
Don't forget that that would only be £15 million cash for saints with £5 mill for Bournemouth. It's not enough to replace him with someone as good.
-
this. If he does stay , he'll have a lot of bridges to mend.
-
That's the one for me
-
It's weird isn't ? In just about any other area of work, apart from a family firm of course, to employ a relative would be seen as close to corrupt. In football, anything goes.
-
I'd go for a double.
-
Because as we all know , nobody in football signs a new long contract then expects to leave with a year.
-
IMO he was just using the word paperwork to mean the bureaucratic process of getting from deciding who we want to actually signing them publicly, with all the contractual issues to sort out, for the bloke himself and his team too. Imagine just the complications of merely sorting out where he is goug to live, a relatively minor part of the process, but one we can all understand. Will he rent or buy something himself, or wil the club provide somewhere, in which case how flash a place will we give him..... All stuff his agent will be negotiating over. Now imagine that process over all the many oher issues.
