Whilst he didn't look particularly impressive on Saturday , regardless of any stats, I thought the main problem was that he was so isolated from the midfield. I rate James Ward-Prowse, but he wasn't linking the midfield to Pelle as the lone striker in the way Lallana did to Lambert or whoever. I wonder if Tadic might be better in that position if we are going to play that formation?

Mods, can we rename this thread "the 3 or 4 same boring prats arguing with each other thread" and start another one with any transfer rumours please?
-
Well with Balotelli, at least they can be sure of some fireworks even if they are in his bathroom!
-
Blimey! An actual transfer rumour? ..... On the transfer rumours only thread?! Anyway, given that I'm prepared to admit I've never even heard of him, does anyone know any more about this bloke, or how good he is etc?
-
"Ward-Prowse, Ward-Prowse, so good they named him twice"
-
Will someone please explain what 'Taider is less than 3’ means?
-
I was pleased to see him clearing/kicking with either foot.

Don't really care whether or not they compliment each other. It's whether they complement that matters. Mind you, it would be rather sweet if they kept telling each other how much they liked each others latest haircut etc ;-)

But not a very funny one.

Have you looked it up yet?

If ever there was a good example of an oxymoron .............

Yoshida was terrible at left back, but he wasn't so bad on the right. Neither he nor Cork are much good there though! He is however a perfectly competent centre back., much better than many on here are giving him credit for. I wouldn't want to rely on him as our first choice for a whole season ,but he's a good standard for a premier league 'reserve'.

Apart from the everlasting medicals he's supposedly had, seriously, is he fit enough to play immediately? He was reported to have some sort of muscular injury, and even if that is better now, presumably he's not been training flat out
-
K Billy on the transfer rumours thread said that Gardos went home on Sunday and that he's not sure what's happening over this one. So, for a start, the media reporting that he's been having medicals over the past few days have been talking balls, and secondly, it doesn't sound too promising for an imminent signing.

Taïder Joins on 1 year Loan & Osvaldo to Inter - Official

Thanks for this,. Hard to find any actual news, or even decent rumours, amongst all the boring squabbling many posters fill these threads with. anybody seen any other confirmation? -
BBC Article - The inside story of the great Southampton sell-off
Ken Tone replied to Donatello's topic in The Saints
It' s not an inside story at all though is it? There is very little in the piece that I couldn't have written myself, and I am very definitely not ITK. An an inside story would tell WHY we sold the players and whether KL's intentions really are what we've been told etc. -
It's not such a bad strategy if we have pre-agreed transfer fees in place if we want the player(s) at the end of the loan. 'Try before you buy' might have saved us quite a bit on Osvaldo. Mind you if a player does really well on loan, even an agreed transfer fee doesn't mean he will agree wages to sign.

what does the onerous loan redemption bit mean? Are we paying them that, or them paying us? Or is it a pre-agreed fee if the loan becomes permanent? -
Fai enough but a good away win at a team near the top of the division below ours last season, is encouraging nonetheless
