He still shudders at the memory, so I'm told.

A simple move of one letter from Marshall to Ings will give Mings and Arshall. I really hope we sign them both now.
-
Yes, I do indeed see what he did there - he pinched a line from Mae West!
-
Interesting. How do your elbows feel about the Irish?
-
Another newbie pointer: Don't end too many non-questions with question marks, or use the word 'peeps' too often. People might mistake you for somebody else. Oh, and I think, KP, that you probably are the only one who gets so annoyed by "my bad".

Five years, blimey. I'm sure we can all remember how bleak things looked just a few days earlier in 2009 - thank you Markus, we owe so much to you.

I think you need to go and change your armour.

I think you could do with a dictionary.

And before it was used by Skol it was Monty Python's Spam song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sNO800ncLk

You're forgetting that he's not from the Island of Doctor Moreau (high time that one was revived I think), so the chances of him being a sufficiently close relative are just too low.

That's truly special. Is it actually genuine? I rather hope it is somehow, in spite of all that that would imply.

One letter too many - "The Lallana Deprecation Thread" would be pretty much spot on.

Scoring more now than he did for us then...
-
What are his executive duties then? Being chairman of both doesn't make him an executive. From what I've seen so far he's very much a non-executive. Hans Hofstetter is also a non-exec I'd have thought.

At first I'd have called this a clear tautology, but on reflection maybe he means that his parents were related only by marriage. That would certainly count as dysfunctional in Paulsgrove. Unheard of even.

I can't THINK who You Mean BY that.

Are we the preverbial poison chalice for managers...
Fowllyd replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Surely the great managerial poison chalice is Tottenham. Mmmmm, Nitromors. -
Well if Cortese was willing to pay that much for a pizza, it's hardly surprising he overspent on the training ground.

Has to be Matty - Rickie may have a 100% record for us, but he never had to take one against Mark Crossley!
-
An early, very angry poem from Rik: "But I don't know Vanessa Redgrave!" Brilliant. RIP Rik.

Actually, that's a good point. Electric ovens are far more flexible than gas, but I'd never want an electric hob.
-
I've found Stoves to be very good and not hideously expensive. I had a built-under double oven a few years back which was excellent; it had two proper ovens though neither was massive. If you go for a high-level built-in job, of course, you'll get more height and therefore two full-size ovens. The one I had was electric and not gas, but I'm pretty sure Stoves do gas as well.

I used those two clubs as examples only because in both cases, the chairman does exactly what chairmen do in most businesses run by a board of directors - they are non-executives who don't get involved in the day-to-day running of things. Thus far, everything points to Krueger's role being closer to that model than to the executive chairman position that Cortese had. So I don't think it is all about Krueger at all. I'm sure he'll be the person who communicates with fans, press etc. on behalf of the board, but that doesn't mean that he'll have anything like the level of involvement that Lowe or Cortese had. Time will tell I guess.
