  1. All in all a really nice evening. Quite restrained but guess you get that on a Tuesday night at the start of May. Guly - Confirmed he is off. He is hoping to stay in England but doesn't have anything lined up. Assured me he would rather retire than play for Pompey. Morgan - As said on another thread. Enjoyed this season, wants to play for France and his family will disown him if he became 'English', in their initial 40. "You can never say" when questioned on what might happen in the summer. Steve Davis - Top bloke. Came across very genuinely. Has enjoyed this season much more. He didn't get a pre-season last season due to a double hernia operation. Loves life down here, family settled etc. Luke Shaw - Not much conversation, as an 18 year old lad he had better things to do. Krueger - "Unbelievable energy and such great people at the club" Matt Le Tissier - Happy to be back in the fold. Spent a long time chatting to Lallana at the end! Chambers - someone asked if we was off to a Arsenal, "not me mate" was the instant reply. Comedy moment of the night was where a drunk lush came up to him with her camera and asked where Lallana was! Victor - feels there is more to come this season, has had a few knocks this year. Rickie - biggest queue for chat and photos. Lovely guy, fingers crossed for WC JWP - Looks like a very bright and eloquent fella. Got Yoshida to take our picture because the Japanese are good at taking photos! Yoshida - Absolutely perfect English and very engaging. Is back in training, confident he is off to Brazil. Brief chats with a few others. Hesketh seemed made up to win his award and his new pro deal. Gallagher is as huge as Harry Reed is small. Boruc seems like a top bloke, didn't seem to mind that nobody had bought any Vodka or Charlie.
  2. Les Reed was asked about this last night by Ed Chamberlain. Said it was a poor idea. Basically along the lines of if our youngsters are good enough they should train and learn from first team and get blooded in the Prem. He stopped short of saying that our kids shouldn't stoop to Pompey's level, but I knew he meant it!
  3. I think it means that they have put him on standby for a call up. Presume he meant preliminary but got lost in translation!
  4. Haven't seen this posted elsewhere. Morgan was interviewed by Ed Chamberlain and confirmed that he is French and will only play for France. When I spoke to him he confirmed he has had the 'pre-qual' for France. He explained that this means he is in the initial 40 for World Cup and he hasn't booked a holiday yet this Summer! Came across as a very nice guy. Reckons Eden Hazard has been the best player he has faced this year.
  5. John Stones for Phil Jones I reckon. not my choice, but what I think might happen.
  6. Adam will be staying. Can't say the same for Shaw and possibly Schneiderlin. Think these two will be ultimately decided by whether MP goes.
  7. I went tonight. I think people are reading a little too much into the Lallana answer, it didn't come across like that in the room. And to those worrying, he was having a good long chat with Le Tiss at the end. All in all a really nice evening, will post more in the morning.
  8. Lallana Gallagher Lallana Lovren Lallana Vs Hull Lallana
  9. That 3 points we took off Liverpool at Anfield is starting to look very costly for the Skates.
  10. Oh, tonight's episode of the Luke Shaw saga on Twitter is that United fans are spreading the rumour he has died. Classy.
  11. That was a few months back.
  12. Managed Liverpool and Fulham this year. Perhaps I should go more given the effect I seem to have.

Fine I'll open it back up.
  14. Have to say that the whole club media team have been fantastic this year. The quality, range and amount of content has been superb.
  15. Probably our best improvement this year is the way we have put away the lower and mid-table teams. Last year we nicked more points against the top 4, something we can work on again.
  16. UJ, let's try an experiment. We can call in 'UJ Mods'. Send me a PM with what you want me to do each time. Let's see how it goes. 4 people out of the 542 who have read this thread. If the forum is so bad why did you come back for a second round?
  17. ill advised and trying to be more clever than he is - yes Racist - no If he does get the sack I am quite sure another network will pick up the show / format and he'll get paid even more.
  18. Would be amazed if this is the case.
  19. Get a room you two.
  20. This was my view back in February and I stand by it. However the general concensus from the majority of posters on this thread is that it is the repetitive nature and sheer frequency of posts from certain posters, not what they say is the issue. Noted.
  21. There are better sticks to beat the Skates with than this TBF Pompeys12thMan - #ride2bury & #fightforjack Our bike ride was originally planned to raise money to buy community shares in PCFC as part of the final push for shares before the share issue ended at the end of April. However we were made aware of a young lad called Jack Robinson and decided we wanted to help this young boy too. Jack and his identical twin brother Liam were born on the 7th June 2009. On 24th January 2014 Jack was diagnosed with a brain tumour. They operated on the tumour, but could not fully remove it. Unfortunately after a brave fight Jack passed away just after midnight on April 1st. In Jacks memory, 50% of the total we raise will be split 3 ways between Naomi House and the ward at Southampton General hospital that both helped care for Jack as well as a donation to Brain Tumour research. The other 50% will be used to buy community shares in PCFC to be held by Pompeys12thMan alongside the 20 that have already been purchased which was always the original aim of the 300 mile/3 day cycle challenge. We originally set ourselves what we considered to be a modest target of £10,000. With 3 weeks still to go the ride, we smashed that so set ourselves a new target of £20,000. With your help and support we can achieve this fantastic amount.
  22. Half a well done for those plucky cyclists.
  23. Yes and 4 years ago. Was a proposed two year deal.
