Winchester is a tricky one.... Although you are more likely to find a 'quiet' pub there. I would suggest looking just off the high street. The Royal Oak perhaps. The best pub though is 'The Eclipse' but it only has terrestrial. Southampton would be a better bet.

There's no crime in supporting the largest team in your local area and having a soft spot for your 'home town' team. The difference in league status is so great that there surely cannot be a conflict of interest. My Dad lives in King's Worthy and sometimes watches Winch play. (Quite a nice walk down to be honest....) Yet he has a season ticket at Saints. Where's the harm?

How about just making it so that the subscription pays for access at crucial times. E.g. Matches Transfer deadline day Important breaking news. Anything that could overload a server really. It would ensure that there can be all the access people need day to day while ensuring paying members get their money worth at crucial times. If you are not a paid member at these times... Hi Nick. 10,000 or so others had no problem. Including those who are far more prominent in fans circles. So why him? He will have crossed the line somewhere. Our current administration may be occasionally haphazard with their PR but as proven since they have taken over the actions they do commit to are for good reason. He's not been banned from the stadium, just from purchasing a seaon ticket. There will be a damned good reason I'm sure.
