  1. You dismiss my comments as excuses and justifications. Please. Provide further insight I may be missing regarding your perspective. And by all means, feel free to agree with me that we are all on the same side!!!
  2. Quite. And my post has been subtly editted accordingly.
  3. Please, Alpine, I do not understand why you feel the need to display such vitriol. Yes, we lost ground, and I can forgive your emotion as a result. If you have issue with my post, by all means feel free to disect the points I made and find fault in them, I will be happy then on to provide a counter point. This is a forum, this is about opinion, it is about expression and opinion. We are all on the same side, we have the same desire ultimately, to see this football club suceed. We are not enemies. So let's be adult about this shall we?
  4. I do agree with this. It is consistently bad for every team in the league.
  5. You dodge the point like a politician. I almost respect that.
  6. Care to analyse and appraise rather then provide soundbites? As for a lack of ambition, pragmatism at a time of dissapointment is infinitely better then knee jerk wrist slashing ever will be.
  7. After the joy of Sunday maybe we should have anticipated a 'poor' result against an in form and resilient Brighton team on their home turf, their windswept, furrowed turf. What we couldn't anticipate is the shear amount of negativity the poor result can bring. 12 months ago today the club basically died. And to be where we are now is an absolute Miracle. Avoid the wrist slashing, avoid the misplaced arrogance that we should be walking the league, appreciate that we have done superbly well, after no pre-season, and with still a rather shallow squad in one key area to be where we are. Football is not a maths equation, it is not a case of pour in enough money and let the good times roll, if it was, Mark Hughes would have led Man City to the premier league in their first season under arabic ownership. It needs more, something often intangible to those on the outside looking in. We are in a completely charmed position now. After 5 seasons of utter crap we have a bright future. Stay humble, dignified and patient and the good times are on their way back. Hell, even Fergie had a few dogy YEARS before setting Man utd on course....
  8. Any trophy is something to be bothered about. It was hardly the most prestigous competition granted, but what a day. I wouldn't swap it for anything. If our descent from the premier league should have taught us anything, be grateful for what you have! We have no devine right to anything. Lets not become another Leeds, so arrogant that everyone hates us.
  9. GET IN!!!! Time for a final push now! Silence the idiots....
  10. Did you go to Wembley?
  11. Something for the summer I feel. Schneiderlin and Hammond seem to be crucial links without backup. Defense? Fine Attack? Fine Midfield? The wings are sorted but lets add some more class in the centre.
  12. It does seem that way.
  13. In other and potentially more controversial news, how's the game going?
  14. Any sign of negativity and the trolls spark up. Pathetic. This is football, not a maths equation. If you can't handle it sod off.
  15. The very nature of football is that you will not win every game, this is dissapointing but there is still time to play. COYR's!!!!
  16. He used to play for them, and they like to think we are their rivals.
  17. You sound as though you know that from experience...
  18. Regardless of perspective and reaction, we are all on the same side. COYR's!!!!!!!!!
  19. Welcome back to earth guys. COYFR's!!! You CAN beat this sh*t!!!!!
  20. You surely have got the other one by now!!?
  21. Got them all apart from Davies, Svensson and McDonald. I'm pretty sure that the RB is wayyyyy out of position!
  22. Ahhhh, you are still going through the 'breaking in' phase. After about two years of training you lose the ability to 'travel backwards through time' while laying down to sleep. Do not resist the voming, get it out of your system pronto. Once your stomach has calmed enough to attempt sleep, take a pint of water and some ibuprofen. On first stir the next morning. One more ibuprofen if needed, and more water. When you feel fit to get up, commence preperation of the 'good morning burger' And don't skimp on the pints of water.
  23. Ok, the recipe is: One bap, one fried egg, two rashers of bacon and a potato waffle. I've had dreadful hanovers before and this, along with two Ibuprofen and a whole lot of water have sorted me out much quicker then any other technique I have tried. Having said that, if you are planning to get to the point of morning sickness...... you may be beyond help by 'conventional' means. Have a good night sir!!
  24. My cure is the 'Good Morning' burger.
  25. hmmmm, you can't reply to threads on the free version. A great shame.
