Just went undercover to ask what he thought their chances are of paying debts when in the Championship would be. The answer was a typical 'er, it'll be more difficult!' type answer, no further details, just dismissive. Heads in the sand.

My thoughts exactly, I look forward to being proven wrong.

Alternate History - morbid reading for a monday!

Ok, using this: http://www.carloslabs.com/projects/200712B/GroundZero.html I have dropped a 400kt bomb on Hythe (Near to Fawley) Hythe would be destroyed, totally vapourised therefore there would be significant fallout and blast turbulence damage effecting the whole of Southampton, the New Forest and the Isle of Wight. The city would have to be evacuated and would cease to be habitable, an Evacutaion of the IOW, Southampton and Neighbouring villages would take place, it can be estimated that about 700,000 people would need to be relocated. Immediate casualties would probably number the total population of the immediate Hythe area and a fair proportion of Southampton, say 50,000 or so. There would be no city anymore, imagine a Pripyiat type wasteland. Eventually, say 50 years or so repopulation could occur, but only after the radiation had returned to background levels, I wouldn't imagine a full relatively quick rebuild a lá Hiroshima or Nagasaki would occur. The fleeing poplace would have to be scattered to Wiltshire, Somerset and Berkshire. Any relatively open space (Salisbury Plain etc) would be set as immediate evacuation areas with Winchester and Bournemouth/Poole acting as redeployment centres. I would expect rapid growth of places such as Basingstoke, Newbury, Oxford and Yeovil, maybe through the relatively sparse West Country as the refugees scatter. Internationally, there would be outcry. There would be a UN response but I would expect the US would want to use this as the catalyst for an invasion of Iran/Pakistan and any associate nation that could be perceived as having a Nuclear threat and terrorist associations. As for what happens next, buy 'Threads' from Amazon.com. I could see total horror should anyone blink and fire the first weapon. -

Say Pearl Harbour had never happened, that was mentioned earlier in the thread, that would be a very interesting one. Japan would continue their rampage across Asia and it would be a straight scrap between the Uk/Russia and Germany. Japan would surely have focused it's energies on supressing China and then expanding into Russia forcing the Red Army to fight on two fronts. This would take the full heat off of the German effort in Europe, Russia would have fallen and then innevitably so would the UK. The Axis powers would effectively have controlled Eurasia leaving the US exposed and isolated, war would then have followed, America would then have eventually folded. Maybe..... -
Frankly if it was me I would save whoever I could get to first. The true definition of a no-win scenario.

I have a HD tele and it came with a Blu ray player. I no longer order DVD's as the quality is infinitely better, it's tricky to notice in some films though untill you go back to the original resolution as they are ported from formats that do not support the full capability of the format.

There are loads like that between Kettering and Peterborough, single carriageway national speed limit and they do 40 EVERYWHERE! Through the country, through villages past primary schools, the lot. The sort of doddery feckers who believe they are the safest thing on the road when infact they are just a moving roadblock at best. HATE them.

He would be welcomed like royalty, and besides, isn't he (allegedly) a Saints fan?

Dad tried to go in there after the Charlton game last weekend but it was shut and had a 'For Sale' sign over it's entrance, has it closed down or is it just opening at limited times?
-
Watching 'Hard Candy' right now. Ellen Page is a remarkable young actress.

Mark Wright or Alan Shearer

Anywhere I can download that? I think I just came a little listening to that.....

Mine was Sheffield Wednesday in 1999/2000. Sat in the home end. We won 1-0 by a penalty, kept quiet when we scored out of fear. Havn't seen us win there since. (Ok, was never going to win, but wanted to share.)
-
Same, but on Blu ray. Loved it! Wanted to hate it, but loved it.

Another great chance to prove ourselves. I would anticipate McDons in the final afterwards, and then Dirrrrrtay Leeds.

The 'Chap in the Chapel' and 'Guided by the Light' columns where excellent, always enjoyed readin them but one hasn't been touched for about 5 months and the other for over a year! If these columns are not to be continued could it be worth starting some new ones?

Having never broken piracy law, it wasn't a worry.

Used to have Subway all the time at uni, there was one built into the student union and living in a catered hall whose kitchen shut on a the weekend left it as the best option. Always quite enjoyed it! Had one a week ago at the Trafford Centre though and it was bloody awful!!!!

My first thought when I heard Cudicini had been run over was of james going to Spurs as cover for Gomez..... .....and that the guy recovers swiftly, of course.
-
One word for that run: Swweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttt. Loving this new era.
-
Yeah, we are easily one of the best. THE best? Possibly.
-
Home to Hereford please. About time we had a comparatively easy run.
