  1. Can anyone confirm if there once was there a Canterbury shop in the Basingstoke Shopping Centre owned by Grovesnor? That would explain their claim being added to the winding up order.
  2. I seem to recall that Gaydamak was the person that brought the "Canterbury" sportsware brand to England with a string of shops. He obviously thought it would be the new nike. This is why Poopey are the only team with a kit made by them. This venture subsequently collapsed, costing Gaydamak millions, which was the start of his withdrawl from Poopey. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. I think the sash shirt would be a great idea. A nod to those that founded our club, without them none of us would be posting our opinions here today. If a red sash was good enough for them it's sure good enough for me. Back to stripes for the following season though!
  4. I really hope so, but unless we have some success before Markus decides he has had enough, I still fear we could be left in the sh.1.t with a big squad on wages that other clubs won't match, therefore the players will sit out their contracts.
  5. Got 2 today, one for me and one for the old man. In the Chapel though, the Northam is a bit much for him! I would have thought the club has shifted a few more than expected due to the JPT and Poopey games.
  6. Riquelme, what's the score? Riquelme, Riquelme, what's the score? It's Fratton today, but Tesco's tomorrow, It's Fratton today, But Tesco's tomorrow! The taxman is a Saints Fan, The taxman is a Saints Fan, La-la, la, la.
  7. Bognor Appreciation Thread Poor man's Chi
  8. I would choose Kelvin, but I was very impressed with Bart in his spell between the posts. I wonder how long we can keep them both here? I'm surprised that Bart has not gone elsewhere already. Is he on a particularly high wage for a 2nd choice keeper?
  9. Many thanks, One more senior in the Chapel end from Stockport onwards then. £99! bargain.
  10. I'm thinking about getting a half season ticket for my Dad. Anyone know what age you need to be to qualify as a senior? I've had a look on the OS but can't seem to find the answer.
  11. I'll second that, bought my ticket today and was told that there will be a ticket office open for away fans to collect tickets on the day.
  12. Is this a video of Skacel signing?
  13. I've always thought that a ticket for a football match is valid for that fixture, regardless of when it is played. Therefore if you buy a ticket and the game is postponed, you don't get a refund instead your ticket is valid for the rearranged date.
  14. What the chances of this game being played? Does anyone know what the snow is like in East London? I don't want to spend money on tickets, because if it is posponed I can't make it to London for a midweek rearrangement.
  15. I was a Lowe boycotter and have been to most home games and 4 away games this season. Crowds are up 15% and also far more fans seem to be travelling away too. If Lowe was still here with us in League 1, what do you think our average attendance would be????? My guess would be around 12K max.
  16. I have done five jumps, (all in and around Queenstown in NZ). Fantastic fun, the higher the jump the better as the feeling of falling lasts longer.
  17. He came to get paid, He came here to get paaaaid, Jose Fonte, he came to get paid
  18. It says "tables updated weekly" at the top of the page. HTH
  19. I hope the message from David Luker is right, as I have made at least 20 phone calls over the last three days trying to get tickets for this game. I'm after 6 tickets so the price difference would have been significant. I would have booked online, but there seems to be a problem with my online booking password. They can't re-set it because it's linked to the same computer system!
  20. I have not been able to book over the phone either, but was told that the ticketline will be open at 9:30 - 13:00 tomorrow. So I'll try again in the morning. I'll be very annoyed if the the computers are still down and I have to purchase tickets at the increased prices on the day.
  21. 31k yesterday, could move us up a place or two on here, plus make Poopey's Blue Few look even more pathetic.
  22. Cheer up! Nice compact modern stadium, great views, good acoustics, should be a party! Plus I've been told that there is a shuttle bus from the station to the ground that only costs a quid. Can't comment on train times back to S'hampton though cos I'm out in London after the game.
  23. I'm sure you will find that your seats are in Block 43, this block is usually used if the away following is large, but due to demand this section has been opened for Saints fans. Exeter will be in Blocks 44+.
  24. It looks like it will be +7 degrees in Colchester on Monday. So the game will be on, lets sell our allocation for this one and really make some noise.
  25. No one has mentioned Telfer yet. I've never understood why some people rated him. Paul Telfer and Neil McCann't are the two players that frustrated me more than any others over the last decade.
