  1. Just phoned up and got four tickets. Looking forward to this one. I've heard that the away stand is small, but steep and close to the pitch with good acoustics. Should make for a good atmosphere. Anyone know how many tickets sold so far?
  2. My thoughts exactly. The FA Cup does not usually suffer from poor crowds (especially at SMS). With cheap tickets, why mess things around? I would have guessed that we would get 20,000 for this one, especially if Luton bring 2000.
  3. I hope we can add Southampton to that list in the near future!
  4. I'm going to St Mary's on the 26th and Colchester on the 28th. So to stop any confusion, I'm going to have my boxing day on the 27th. HTH Back to the point of the thread: I would love to see Markus and Nicola on the the pitch against Exeter so we can show our appreciation.
  5. There were only 305 Tranmere fans at the game today, which makes the attendance respectable, 19500 Saints fans. Probably a similar number the Brighton game.
  6. Just decided that I'm going to go to this one. Any guesses about how many we will take there? Isn't it the first time we will have played in their new ground. That should motivate a few extra to turn up. The allocation is 1900.
  7. I'd be surprised if the team were looking in down the table rather than up. There are three possible results tomorrow: We lose at home. It's a draw. Or the better team on paper, the team further up the table, beat a team that are not expecting to get much out of the game. We should win tomorrow, I think the team have the ability. But most importantly for the first season in memory we have a team that believes that they can win every game and go on the kind of run that pushes the team up the table.
  8. I doubt there will be much trouble, as Millwall and the local police are well versed at controlling the fans at the New Den. The fans are kept very much separate inside and outside of the ground. The away coaches are brought in by police convoy and unload in a secure area. There is a separate platform for away fans coming in by train that leads directly to the away end. Only idiots really looking for trouble before the game will find any. If they turn up by coach or train they will have to leave the secure area first. After the game the away fans are kept in for what seems like 2 hours, once you are released by the police there are tumbleweeds rolling down the street! When I went, I didn't see any trouble at all depsite a few fans giving it large inside the stadium.
  9. I really think the Ticket Office have underestimated how many people will go to this game. I assume that it will be a 3:00pm kick off on the Saturday (although I have yet to find this confirmed anywhere). Luton MIGHT bring a good few down for their season's "cup final". Plus ticket prices have been slashed to only £15!!! As I have posted before on this thread, I would not be surprised if £20k turn up. Especially if you consider that we have already sold 18k for Exeter which is only a few day earlier. So why are we closing parts of the ground? Does the club know something we don't? Have the TV games already been picked?
  10. People have said they expect Luton to bring a couple of thousand fans to SMS for this one. But there were only 2500 at Kenilworth road tonight!! (That includes the Rotherham fans too). If thats all they get at home I wouldn't expect more than 1k. What happened to the alleged 30k they took to wembley for the JPT last year?
  11. They have beaten Aldershot 2-1 tonight. Two goals with their only two shots on target. Two trips to Hampshire in a week. Hopefully that will wear them out.
  12. Wow, cheap tickets for the FA Cup. I was expecting to pay full price. Don't we usually only reduce prices for the smaller cup competitions like the Carling Cup(and JPT this year). I hope we pull a good crowd in, I would hope at least 20K with those prices. Do we know if it is Saturday 3pm KO yet, as Poopey are drawn at home too?
  13. Just bought my ticket for this one. I've not been to Northampton before. I felt I should go because the club had shown faith in our fans by demanding the large allocation. Come on everyone, its the FA Cup, win this one and we could get Poopey at home in the 3rd round, or a nice trip to the Emirates. (I've not been there either!).
  14. Any update on number of tickets sold? I'm hoping for 22K+ Which would be great for a third div game on the box. The wind and rain seems to have passed and it's now nice and sunny (here in Chichester at least). So we should get a fair number of people walking up on the day.
  15. Yes I can confirm that tickets are £5 (But only if you are under 16 years old and accompanied by an adult pay the full price.)
  16. Just got up, my train leaves in 30mins. Why am I this excited about Leyton Orient away in League 1? Should be a great day out, just hope the team perform like they have been in the last few games. COYR!
  17. Great stuff, brought back some very good memories!
  18. I'm a bit confused, why are the almost in Admin, if they haven't been living beyond their means? All the best to them and I hope they don't get wound up, but as far as i can see it they must have been spending more than their income for this too happen. (Much like us before Markus stepped in).
  19. I totally disagree with your "acoustics give the impression that all the noise comes from tghe stand you are in argiement". I have watched games at SMS from each of the 4 stands (depending on who I was at the game with) and 90% of the noise clearly does come from the Northam. I would keep the away fans where they are at present, but if we ever want to get the best out of the stadium we need the Itchen north open again. There is one easy way to make this happen and that is by selling 30K+ tickets.

    Leyton Orient

I really can't wait for this one now.
  21. Excellent performance. I'm pleased that Pardew is able to change things when needed. Great free kick routine for Lambert's goal too.
  22. It is only £19 for a ticket in the Chapel, a fact that the club has not really highlighted. I only found out when the dozy girl in the ticket office sold me 2 tickets in there when I asked for tickets in the Itchen, towards the Chapel end. I have been back in there for two other home games already. I prefer the noise of the Northam myself, but my old man has been coming again recently after a little encouragment (he had defected to Aldershot during the Lowe regime).
  23. They sold me 4 over the phone at 9ish. I asked if there were many left, and was told "Yes!" Couldn't be bothered to push for exact numbers. HTH
  24. They have not sold out yet. I phoned in and got my 4 tickets at around 9ish this morning.
  25. We will easily break 20k on Saturday after the recent run of form.
