Always wanted a Monte Carlo, but have 2 80's BMW's (635csi and K100) to keep on the road. Very tempted, but would need to hire yet another lock-up.
-
My Mrs said she would with the dark haired one.

What a result, better than I would ever had hoped.

Seats are only available to the disabled, families and OAPS. Had to argue with the ticket office guy to get me a seat next to my Dad who is a senior, as only he qualified. They sold me two in the end.

Only been to six away, but here goes: Best: 1. Wembley, no explanation needed. 2. Orient, great day with lots of friends. 3. Nothampton, only decided to go at the last min, and enjoyed a good win. Worst: Swindon, dire! Colchester fog, cold, train bus replacement, and hangover. Millwall, shame they equalised, we almost mugged them.

So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?

Mine have just been delivered by the postie. 8 tickets all together in block 525. A little disappointed though, mentioned on my postal application that one of our party suffers from vertigo, and we have been issued tickets in ROW 39 of the top tier!!! Anyone know if that is that the very back row? I can't find any stadium plans that show how many rows in each tier. -
There is an idiot behind me, that has to shout at least once every game: "Should've gone to Specsavers ref!" It wasn't funny the first time, think I will have to move my ST next year if he keeps it up.

Been discussing the Rob Lloyd takeover with a skate mate at work. Me: I'm a bit confused. According to the reports shown earlier in this thread, Lloyd's company Eatonfield is in financial trouble. Therefore I assume that he is a bit short of cash himself, if he was minted why isn't he sorting that mess out before taking on the money pit that is Farton Park? Skate mate: He's not the money man, he is just the frontman for the bid. Me: If I was a rich money man interested in buying Poopey, why would I choose a publicity seeking, Liverpool supporting, financially troubled property developer to front my bid? Why would I not just talk Paul Walsh, Andy Awefull or even Banjo-head Dineage into fronting the bid/winning the fans over? Me: Do you not smell something fishy? (Perhaps the skates have become immune to the smell of fish) If I were to dream up a conspiracy theory it would be that: Lloyd is about to go bankrupt so has been offered a bit of off-shore untraceable cash to assume the debts and become a fall guy. He agrees terms with AA/Gaydamak/Chanrai keeps the club going with help from Gaydamak's South African friend until the parachute payments arrive. The parachute money disappears off to SA. Lloyd defaults on his agreed schedule of payments to Gaydamak/Chanrai, is declared bankrupt and a year or so later collects perhaps £500K from a British Virgin Islands bank account. Pompey enter admin for a second time with Gaydamak and Chanrai either owning Farton and the land, or at the very least still secured creditors. Pompey by now are bled dry, unless AA mark 2 can find another mug to pay off Gaydamak etc.

Does anyone know if there are any £34 tickets left in blocks 524-527? I have a friend that wants to get a ticket as close to the rest of us as possible, but I heard a rumour that there were only £24 tickets left.
-
Me + 7 up there too. Hopefully nearer to the front than the back!

You can hand a postal application in. That's what I'm doing. Using my season ticket details and a group of friend's customer numbers that went to the MK Dons game so that we all sit together.

Saints v Walsall [formerly known as Warsaw] build up.

What size crowd are we expecting. Will numbers be boosted by those that bought linked tickets for the Poopey game? Over 21K would be nice. -
As no one else seems to want to answer you, I will. His name sounds like Ot-SEMI-bor HTH

Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that Vanish were going to sponsor Poopey. I was having an email argument with a skate mate and refined that thought.... There are rumours that Pompey are saved. They have managed to secure investment from a new shirt sponsor "Vanish", but only on condition that they revert to their original PINK kit that they wore for their first 11 seasons. A Vanish spokesman said: " It's a perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate the power of Vanish. We will infuse the teams shirts with our product and before you know it the filth will disappear!"

Exactly what I was going to ask.

I was really impressed with all four stands getting involved in the singing. I hope people remember how good it felt to have the stadium rocking. If we even reproduce half that volume for the rest of the league games this season, I'll be happy.
-
Yes but it is still on the same site and orientated in the same way.

I have one. "Liquidator" Harry J Allstars http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hkYJ7ADyKU It would be very apt to sing H-M-R-C at the point Wolves used to sing **** off West Brom.

I wonder how many skates will get caught in the netting?
-
It tastes like they do this at every game.

Another tune to be played before kick off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hkYJ7ADyKU

After Al Fahim, and Al Mirage this would be the third Sheik. As the saying goes..... Doesn't having more than two sheiks, make them all w@nkers?

Can anyone confirm if there once was there a Canterbury shop in the Basingstoke Shopping Centre owned by Grovesnor? That would explain their claim being added to the winding up order.
-
I seem to recall that Gaydamak was the person that brought the "Canterbury" sportsware brand to England with a string of shops. He obviously thought it would be the new nike. This is why Poopey are the only team with a kit made by them. This venture subsequently collapsed, costing Gaydamak millions, which was the start of his withdrawl from Poopey. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the sash shirt would be a great idea. A nod to those that founded our club, without them none of us would be posting our opinions here today. If a red sash was good enough for them it's sure good enough for me. Back to stripes for the following season though!
