Having just returned from LA I can confirm it is just as much of a shithole as it was the last time I visited over a decade ago. Has to be up there as one of the worst cities in the world.

On a side note, if an outcome has been delivered and were appealing it behind the scenes I do admire how there are no leaks out the club like there was a few years ago.

Bit of a silly statement, they’ve invested considerable amounts across the city in terms of regeneration. I’m pretty confident if Markus Liebherr invested hundreds of millions in the city of Southampton no one would complain. It doesn’t make the cheating ok by any means, but it certainly doesn’t make their efforts elsewhere wasted - they’ve invested in areas other than the football club that have seen upturns in the city.

What’s that? Five games into the new season? What a time to do it. That’s why they’ll be points deduction, big financial fine (but drop in the ocean to the owners) and no relegation.

Whilst he wouldn’t be my first choice he equally isn’t the worst, but there are many questions that come before this: When Tonda is banned (because let’s face it he will be, are we still throwing our weight behind him and effectively offering a temp job to another manager? If that is the case, what if that manager is successful? What does Tonda’s position look like after that? On a complete side note it’ll be funny to see how Sports Republic spin this after all the Tonda backing over the summer. 👀🤣 Could be a few popcorn moments coming…

Simon Jordan, the normally not so voice of reason, saying what the sanction is will speak volumes given Southampton were kicked out the most lucrative game. How do you punish a team in the most lucrative league? We all know they’ll get a fine and a points deduction but they’ll still be a Premier League team going forward. They aren’t being kicked out. Personally I think they should get 115 point deduction spread over a number of years, maybe every year implicated.

Would’ve been cheaper to sack Tomas at this point
