Talking about the Ticket Office - how about a message from them on here like they did on various issues last year - updating us and answering quries in general?

Started going to games at about the age of 8, but would avidly follow every bit of Saints news via The Echo each evening and would be in The Saints team in the play time football match V The Plastic Man Uers at school each day for a few years by then. I used to go with my Uncle, Aunty and Grandad, although my 1st game was a glory hunting 1st ever Top Flight game at The Dell v Man City in 66 with my dad. We used to roll up at The Dell at about 12.30 to be near the front of the queue so that we could get a place down on the front wall towards the right midway between goal and corner flag. ..... armed with a homemade wooden fold away red and white striped stall so that I could see over the wall!! (LOL at how many of those things were in The Milton End in the bad old violent days, but never used as weapons!!) How times have changed - I have taken my son to games at SMS and arrived at 2.59 and still got a seat with a view!!! Unfortunately my Grandad is no longer with us, but my Uncle and Auntie still go with my sister and her 2 boys - the 4th generation from our family to go. I moved out of The Soton area in 79 but still used to get to as many games as possible till I moved overseas - even now I try and arrange my leave back to UK to accomodate a few games where ever possible each year. Otherwise, matchdays (work permitting) are spent listening to Whispering Dave Merrington, supping copious amounts of Old Speckled Hen, looking at pics of Nuns, Muffins and Camel Toes and posting bollix on here till the site crashes with 20 mins to go You can take the boy out of Southampton - but you can't take Southampton out of the boy!!!!

...... and Michael Owen couldn't even get a place on the bench - he's probably got some sort of escape clause in his transfer contract and will bog off back to Man Ure for not being automatic first choice centre forward,
-
Following on from Brooklyn being named where he was conceived, they've gone one step further and have named the kid after the time of conception
-
From my very early days of going to The Dell late 60's - the matchday programmes used to have a Football League supplement (?) inside which had a team photo as the centre spread and you'd often see a stray bollock or bell end making an appearance - intentionally or not I'm not sure!! Anybody got programmes from that era could maybe have a quick rummage through and see what pops up!!

Svennis The Pennis ? He was certainly admired by several bedable birds that's for sure!!

Aaahhh ...... memories of walking back to Eastleigh from the old Bishy Swimming Pool on a hot summers day with a bag of crisps and an orange jubbly purchased from the newsagent across the road on the corner ...... life was so simple back then.

Beat me to it phil - feckin awesome night. His version of Whole Lotta Love was just orgasmic. Total repect to him and his band - non stop rocking for 2 hours - bad Dad Dancing is going to hurt tomorrow for sure when tonight's copious supply of loopy juice wears off!! Lol at being babe magnets - good to see the females appreciating class when they see it.!! Place was 110% SFC - wrist bands red & white FFS.

Too young to have seen him, but from what I heard about him when I started watching games was his fondness of the shoulder charge on keepers - I believe he scored a few goals with the keeper still holding the ball but finding themselves in the back of the net.

Yay .... bring back The Friday Press Conference Rumours freds. But shouldn't he be out issuing bus tickets to new signings?
