Smashing 5 past Huddersfield and Brizzle Rovers in mid week games towards the end of the season, keeping the promotion dream alive and making staying up till 2 am very worthwhile , although Huddersfields 2 injury time goals against Walsall somewhat took the gloss off the result of the Bristol Rovers result Seeing Wembley decked out in Red and White Saints scarves, flags and Jester Wigs (admittedly only on TV in France rather than actually being there). Seeing the joy On AP's face and Marcus happily snapping away and soaking it all in gave me a great feeling of well being for our future. Meeting The One and Only Matt Le Tiss here in Dubai was a wonderful wonderful experience, despite what 19C may have to say about him More than anything else ..... just actually looking forward to each match rather than trepidation as in the previous 5 years ;-)

It is all down to One person .... ME As if my being a plastic expat fan, isn't already a great enough hindrance to the club :cool:, when I am temporarily of "non expat status" the situation gets even worse :mad: I have had 2 holidays back in The UK this season, one at the start of the season and one over Xmas. During these 2 stays whilst I was actually in England, our results in the league were ..... P9 W1 D4 L4 (the 4 games I actually attended were 2 draws and 2 loses) . If you add to that the Brighton H game which I watched on Sky via teh innernet it gets even worse. :confused: So I don't think you'll be surprised to hear that I also watched the Skates FA Cup game live on the innernet then

Actually we have won as many points as Huddersfield in 6th place even with the hiccup of the last 2 games taken into account, and would be going into the last game of the season with a theoretical chance of automatic promotion .............. if ........ yes you guessed it, it wasn't for the -10 points or the ™ 1st 10 games of the season

As the saying goes ... don't let facts get in the way of a good story :cool: Why do the club say "no comment" though, if there isn't a shred of truth in the matter :cool:. I realise you can't expect them to respond to every "ÄP ate my Hamster" story that crops up in these rags, but it would be nice to hear something positive about AP's future from them.

Lets be honest if, no matter how happy you are where you work at the moment, if another employer way further up the food chain comes along waving contracts with 3 or 4 times more salary and working alongside the creme de la creme of your occupation, how many could/would say bog off I'm happy where I am ? Outside of Matt Le Tissier (NC19 move on to another fred now :cool:) things like that just don't happen now. Christ, even the Man U's, Arsenals and Liverpools of the world can't keep players when Real Madrid/Barcelona come visiting FFS I really hope Adam stays and that we are so good next season that he sees staying on another year or two maybe fun and hopefully a financially improved contract sways the decision. But if he decides to go, at least we know the transfer fee will be used to buy a replacement, rather than just to keep the wolves at bay and keep the bank manager happy for another few months
