  1. Cortese is absoultely right, the FL surrendered with a whimmper, this is another move that will just further expand the gap between the premier league/top of championship & the lower leagues. Another example of throwing money at the problem!!
  2. According to Wiki he is off to Napoli, also already had 1 full cap for Argentina already!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco_Zuculini

  4. Ian Hollaway has had to say this http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11728_6235679,00.html Shortly after Tony Pulis said the same, look at what transfers have already gone ahead this summer and the answers are MINIMAL Be cool young grasshooper
  5. Come on, they're not that bad. Dont get me wrong I wouldnt want them at St marys, but at the world cup they're alright! I would say that though, I have one
  6. This club makes me sick - the pies are **** - one of the turnstylees last year had a chip that wasnt repainted for 3 MONTHS!!! - the pub down the road sells **** red wine - Stadiums on the bloody flight path of Eastligh airport.. great oppertunity for terrorists! - one of the big screens has had a few dead pixels for at least 2 seasons now!!! - I've seen women by yorkies at halftime (Says on the packet not for girls!) - we STILL havent signed Rudi Bloody Skacel!!
  7. Apprentley We are after Carsten Jancker and Paul Merson
  8. Quiet surprised there wasn't more saints goals in it this season.
  9. Can't see this myself, but I'd love it if we signed him... Love it!!! In fact, would probably be the most exciting signing since we signed Kevin Phillips!!!
  10. He's not a Saints fan, he's a Rangers fan. He always told me that if he had the chance to play for us again then he would, whether that's still the case I dont know I havent seen him for a few months now
  11. Surman would be an assist at this level, what he lacks in pace he makes up with application. I think the reason he's struggled to make an impact at a high level is because the game is passing him by, if you dont play through him, then you have to play past him. However, at this level where the game is slower his quailty would show. He'll play with his head up, pick out a pass and will allow other players the freedom to create. Very similair to matthew Oakley in that respect.
  12. "come on you...> whites?!"
  13. Brighton certainly, Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton and which ever club doesnt go up through the play offs I see as our biggest challengers next season.
  14. Interesting, i thought it was one of his best games for us!
  15. I can 2nd this, as a player for the mens 1st team of this youth side (I wasnt there myself) but have been told by Iain (youth manager) and seen the pictures of what a fantastic pro he was and how much the kids appreciated him turning up. Got to say a massive thanks to him!! The kids who play for this youth team are quailty!! (they'd beat our first team for sure) and seeing their hero turn up and act in such a professional way can only encourage them to continue to follow their dreams. Got to say congrats on them winning the Hampshire youth cup as well :-)
  16. as already mentioned, it was reported at the time of his signing that he'd agreed to play for £1k a week to prove himself.
  17. Has skacel signed yet??
  18. Robbie Savage!!!!!!!!!!! A Midfielder (Neil Danns) Find 2 strikers (connelly cover & Waigo replacement) Another CB (letting go of Perry in the process) A RB (Letting go of Murty) Sign Antonio, give wotton, connelly, Thomas another 1 year contract. Let go of Lancashiere, Forecast, Molyneux, Gillet, Holmes, Pulis,
  19. Old academy players were/are always out getting battered Regularly see Dyer, Gillet, Craine, Best, Blackstock, McGoldrick, and Paterson & Lancashire out drinking (even though most of them have moved on, go into 90 degrees on a Sunday and you’re bound to run into one of them!) Craine was an absolute embarrassment the times I’ve seen him out (normally on a Sunday) stumbling around acting like he owned the place chatting up every girl in there. It’s no wonder he hasn’t fulfilled his potential!! It’s also no surprise that there were always rumours\accusations about them in the papers
  20. Norwary Saint basically answered this...
  21. The sentence and that of comparison sentences is irrelevant! Everyone knows what they did was illegal, so just because other sentences are disproportionate to the crime doesn’t mean a bloody thing... they still broke the law and they’ll be sentenced according to the law they broke!!! If your fact is right about paedophiles, yea, it’s not right a paedophile gets less time, but for me it only highlights the fact we need heavier sentences for paedophiles... not leaner sentences for football hooligans!
  22. yep, and despite the fact there must have been 2000 people in there, I dont think anyone waited too long to get their drinks either
  23. Fantastic result Doesnt mean anything unless we win our 2 games in hand then anything really is possible!
  24. A few collages where in New Orleans last week for an IT conference and the the atmosphere was amazing apprently. They've been saying "who dat" all week this week haha. They loved that they were all from Southampton & that we're called the Saints & pretty much adopted them! Certainly encouraged my collagues that our very own Saints can achieve anything
