  1. Happy with that, think he should be given the chance seeing as he has showed continual commitment to the club in a time when others would have fled.
  2. I have no idea who is fit and who isnt but Forecast James - Perry - Thomas - Mills Lallana - Gillett - Schneiderlin - Holmes Rasiak - McLaggon

    Surman

Sad to see him go, Surman was a good professional and a Southampton fan, his form let him down a bit last season but I'm sure he'd have been a vital part of the team this season... had he stayed. I think he'll struggle in the prem, and is going to wolves purely as a squad player. I'd be surprised if he started more than 10 games, all the same... best of luck to him.... we need the money
  4. completely unacceptable as far as I am concerned... why should the staff work for nothing....
  5. Spot on
  6. Tottally agree mate, I wanted the deal done 3 weeks ago, I'm not ITK just got a feeling about Friday thats all... but like you I hate the fact its rolling on & on... but if there was a sweepstake, I'd pick this Friday
  7. The issues that are preventing Pinnacle taking over are with the FL so it would be pointless for Fry to act as a middle man between Pinnacle & the FL. He's out seeking further buyers that could step up should Pinnacles bid collapse... because thats what he's supposed to do. The fact that fry is out talking with other consortuims has nothing to do with Pinnacles bid
  8. Im as frustrated as any mate, I really am. I just have a good feeling about this friday so here's hoping :-)
  9. Without knowing any facts I wouldn’t know, but any animosity towards a consortium trying to save our football club (succeed or fail) is grossly misdirected IMHO
  10. I just hope the frustration of some that the deal is taking so long doesnt turn to animosity against the pinnacle group as Tony sounds like a very astute man. Lets have some good news on this edition of "Take over Friday"
  11. One way to look at it, the other of course being that we're the loyal paying customers of the company he's trying to take over...
  12. I heard.... New Owner New Manager First Signing
  13. I laughed! Fair play, and happy 65th :-)
  14. David has done well for a player who has been looking to move on... If we got 1.6m for him, I would be happy to see him leave, thank him for his efforts, and move on
  15. That makes VERY exciting reading :-) Very happy today
  16. Come on... this is england, we dont need to actually find someone guility before forming an angry mob.... now where's my pitch fork??
  17. Fry is administrator of the PLC not the football club, surely the football club can still offer contracts, they may well be based on the club (as an assist) being bought from the PLC but all the same I cant see this being an issue when OFFERING the contract.
  18. While I agree Nick, and while I've never been Leons biggest fan this is an absoultely fantastic gesture and I for one am extremely greatful.
  19. What an absolute embarrassment this is! McMenemy, Crouch, Wilde, Lowe, the Daily Echo... all as bad as each other. Bickering like school girls... all of these parties should take responsibility for the current state of the club. Not only that... they continue to drag this clubs name through the mud by the pettiest of arguments! This has always been about egos, and now they’re all trying to salvage what little respect they can from the fan base, unwilling to accept the truth that they are infact all FAILURES! They all claim to have the clubs best interests at heart, yet absolutely ALL of them fail to see that this bickering continues to divide the fan base and damage the harmony of the club! Just embarrassing! Roll on the new owners, hopefully no one will care to listen to this lot then and the world will be a much better place when I don’t continue to hear the names which I’ve grown to despise!
  20. Football has a drinking culture FULL STOP... this is not limited to our club, nor the division, nor our country. Sad truth that young men with excessive amounts of cash enjoy living it up. I've heard stories, straight from the mouths of professional footballers about playing with hangovers and having "their best game"
  21. Because the thread title does nothing to suggest the content....
  22. COMPLETELY agree!!! This rule is a disgrace!!!!
  23. i've always had a softspot for Stockport ever since I saw them pull off a giant killing in a cup comp with dave Jones as manager and Paul Jones in goal... got a feeling Lee Todd played for them as well? Anyway, sorry to hear that... although only another 22 clubs to fall into administration and we'll be top by christmas haha
  24. nope I'd start following Eastleigh - I would look out for the AFC Southampton results, I might even attend a few games if they got good... but I wouldnt surport them
