  1. I hope he does well at Leicester as certain people on here are likely to have a stroke if he does! Good decision to get rid of Puel...he wasn't right for us.
  2. I thought 8th and a cup final made a manager "world class"...I am afraid I am just lost on what makes a manager good or not now!
  3. I suppose this is like the Puel debate..what measures success? Bearing in mind Spurs haven't won a title in nearly 60 years, bearing in mind that Spurs income is significantly less than Any of the other of the top 6, bearing in mind they have spent nothing compared to clubs they are finishing above, I would say he has done a brilliant job to make then a permanent top 4 team. Meanwhile over in Manchester they have spent the best part of a billion pounds in a short time to get in front of MP's team! Are trophies the only measure of success? If so Brendon is clocking up a few so he must be up there with the best of them? When Poch is Barce or Real Madrid manager winning trophies each season will that make him a better manager than he is now?
  4. He is stil in the cup..quarter finals as well....maybe a cup final two years running for him!
  5. They honestly don't work like that...if they did Leicester would already have another manager in place. We spoke to other managers as well as MP... Therefore we hadn't decided who would replace him, we just knew Puel wasn't the right man.
  6. At least you have finally realised the reality of the situation. Good post.
  7. there are no guarantees, you can't keep a manager, try a new one to see if he is better And then go back to the first one. The decision was made as Puel wasn't the right manager for us end of. Whether the next manager is good or bad does not change the decision. Perhaps MP won't be the right man so we sack him but the next man is the best manager we have ever had...does that make the decision good again? How long into the future do we take to decide if it was good or bad? As for the rest..RK lost far more than Puel and didn't take us backwards did he?
  8. we haven't got on the end of a cross all season so it won't make a lot of difference.
  9. I thought you Puel lovers didn't agree with judging it against the season before otherwise the massive swing downwards in our points tally, the massively different results against the top 6 etc etc make Puels season worse than it actually was?

  11. Why does anything happening this season make last season better or worse? It's absolutely irrelevant. MP may or may not be ****e, it doesn't make Puel better or worse than he was?
  12. Yes how we would all laugh at him taking Leicester to 17th and us being below them. I honestly hope he goes there so we can see if he is actually any good or not. They probably overall have a better squad than us so there would be no excuses this time, no Europe etc etc. However ...World class? He should hold out for Bayern then!
  13. Sorry your point isn't clear? So were the managers right to bench the three you name but wrong to play Redmond despite the fans views? Or are the managers right to bench them and right to play Redmond?
  14. Id agree with this. Unless we fall into the bottom 3 or 4 then I can't see us changing manager during the season.
  15. Surely they know the potential allocations for each at he start of the season? They know he price the other team will charge as teams publish the category for each game in advance of he season. Therefore surely it is as simple as putting them up for sale a Couple of months before they have to commit to an allocation? They could initially only sell the lowest allocation. They could then judge, depending on how quickly they sold whether to open up a higher allocation without the pressure of having to guess and commit to the other club? Oh and away season tickets again would help.
  16. We are just sooooo static. Until Boufal came on, no one beat their man ( maybe except Lemina). Watch other teams, they ge the ball in space move forward until get closed down then either try to beat the man or they pass. When our players get the ball they are static, they control the ball whilst still static and then pass to an available team mate..who is just static. Occasionally VVD tries a Hollywood pass across field to break the monotony. Off the ball we jog slowly around the pitch.. I know we haven't the players to be a city or Barcelona but FFS we can put a bit of effort in... The manager has to answer for this..he is rapidly looking out of his depth and its like watching Puel II, a badly made sequel to a poor first movie. At least Puel seemed to have a plan..not sure what MP is trying to achieve yet but he hasn't got the team working hard that's for sure. Anyone got any Opta stats? I bet comparing this sides distance covered against RK's or the original MP's teams will show a few miles covered less by most of our team in a game...
  17. It's amazing how many people think they know the game so much better than the professionals running the game? Obviously the club see something in JWP and Redmond for that matter otherwise they would be sweeping roads? Whilst I get he is not the best player in the premier league,he is most certainly not the worst either. Not sure about the general modern obsession with people, in all walks of life, are labelled either brilliant or ****...there doesn't seem to be a middle ground anymore?
  18. I do wonder if we had a young Matt Le Tiss now, would he be written off after a few games?
  19. Lemina and Hoedt look good players to me, so not too much wrong.. I am not sure Kane would score many goals for us..we play like England do and he isn't as prolific for England as he is for Spurs. I think we have the players but either not the right formation or the right application.
  20. It must be loads of people if it was worth started a thread for? Name and shame these hundreds of people! (Or in reality is it just a few and you have over reacted to those "few" opinions?)
  21. Lol you have fell for the classic mistake a lot of people seem to make on here... Let me help you... Lots of DIFFERENT people post on here..so you may have sen lots slagging Pelle off or heard it..and now you see and hear lots of people saying we need someone like him... It doesn't mean they are the SAME people. It's the same generalisation that those who wanted Puel to go now want MP out...you may find a few examples but most of what you see isn't people contradicting each other it's that there's lots of people and lots of different opinions! Lol
  22. It's no different to our own situation. 76% turned out for the Brexit vote...52% of which voted to leave so that's around say 38% of the population and the vote is carried... 90% of the 42% voted to leave so that's around the same 38% of the population. No different..it's how democracy works. So the vote would be carried... Except it's been declared illegal and the police tried to stop people voting etc

  25. Having scored 27 goals in 26 league games this Calendar year, we need to score 21 goals in the remaining 12 games just to equal our worst goal scoring annual performance since returning to the premier league......... I think.
