  1. Tim Sherwood for one?
  2. At least he has got us back above Everton!
  3. And Reed deserves a lot of credit for making that decision!
  4. Lol even after he has left he still divides the fan base...that's Puels legacy! MP might be absolutely rubbish for all we know...that doesn't make Puel any good though...that's the point. The debate about Europe etc etc has been had over and over again..fact is he divided the fan base, alienated players and played the most boring football I have ever seen at st Mary's over a consistent period of time.... Not sure there is any point going over and over it yet The duck hunter keeps raising his name over and over and over and over and over....he needs to get over it..Puel is history.
  5. Hold on..why isn't Puel better? He got to 8th and a cup final. Poch only got to 8th no cup final. Who is the better manager then?
  6. He said that to match Puel MP needs to finish 8th otherwise he has failed. Apparently points are irrelevant. Therefore as Puel achieved more than Poch it must surely follow (using his arguments) that according to him Puel is better as he achieved the same position and a cup final.
  7. There is a reason that Jose, Pep, Conte, Poch etc get paid what they do. The manager is key to getting the best out of he players. They also don't grow on trees. When we offered RK a fortune to stay I thought we might be in the market for better managers but I wonder if any would actually come to us? Tuchel was reported as turning us down and I am not sure De Bore looks like he will pull up trees. I am not sure whether we would want many of the other managers from those around us..Pulis anyone? MP has to be given a chance, booing won't help the situation. If he leaves I am not sure who people are hoping we would get in? Although BFS is available! :-)
  8. Palace are a good example of this as well.. Last season they were poor..big Sam arrives does what he does, and gets them enough points to stay up. They start with a manager new to the league this season, possession based stuff..no goals, four defeats and bottom three. I hope MP learns quick and can mix it up a bit, Puel failed to do that. You knew what you were going to see as you walked up to the stadium whilst he was in charge and it wasn't fruitful especially at home.
  9. Lol so Puels 46 points and 8th with a cup final makes him a better manager than Poch who got 8th with 56 points and no cup final. I am afraid it's you who is deluded mate.
  10. Lol you are right..46 points..with 5 points from 4 games...MP may struggle to match it!
  11. If he scrambles to 44 points he has matched Puel. Only 39 to go!
  12. How many premier league games did Pellegrino play in? If being a coach makes you a good manager what happen to Phelan and all the other coaches under really successful managers who have stepped up and been ****e? Pellegrino might be ok yet, but bringing in a manager from outside the league is always a gamble.
  13. Alternatively we have appointed two managers with no experience of the league and who don't know how to fix it?
  14. I'd agree with this. Puel had us in free fall and would have took us down this season anyway.
  15. Lol plenty of decent men have lost their jobs...why not follow his new club as such a brilliant manager must be in demand for a job with a giant of Europe?
  16. Lol well beaten by a much better side. It's not the end of the world.Sometimes, despite what some of our entitled fans think, Watford, Leicester, Stoke and WBA for example , you know those sides around us, will have a better team or squad than we do. This year it looks like that will be the case for Watford.
  17. Just imagine you are clapping to commemorate Claude Puel..that will get you through it.
  18. I would have predicted that as the bottom three too!
  19. The crux of it is that we are not well supported. If we had millions of people willing to watch our games and buy our shirts then we could compete with Man Utd. We would then be in demand enough to have our logo on a toothbrush in China or a potty in Korea. Take away FFP and we still wouldn't have the money to buy he players Utd do so not sure what system you are hoping for?
  20. I enjoyed the stories at the bottom of the page more...the docks development which will create 1500 new jobs and an ICE RINK (they had it in caps, it's not me) and the Liverpool player repeatedly hitting someone in the Moo Moo club (sounds painful..is that Scouse for face?) It's a shame that the only reason they are looking like not getting the deals done is the time of the transfer window closing.if only they had thought of buying them a few weeks ago, everything would have been fine.
  21. And so you shouldn't. It's never their fault.
  22. lol enlighten us?
  23. TBF if Jerry Mcquire taught us one thing..its that a cuddle is worth more to a professional sportsman than a wheelbarrow full of money.
  24. Do you think that is true? He has not ever been a regular at Arsenal starting at most 50% of their games. Why would they make him one of their top earners? Moving for 35 to 40 million will get him a nice big signing on fee and a big pay rise (as would be appropriate for a 35 million pound player.) I can't see Arsenal would give him that much of a pay rise as he is just a squad player?
  25. Perhaps the agents don't mention it so they get a big part of the transfer fee! Lol
