Oh bloody hell the morning after,well im gutted and its over but, oh my how we nearly pulled it off. Thought JWP who ive said on many occasions why is he in the team, had for once and hopefully many more to come an outstanding game. Disappointing again at our rather stiff goalkeeper at not being able to save any of the soft goals that we conceded,thought Tadic had a poor game,Boufal didnt quite anticipate the pass to others quite quick enough on our break aways near the end.All i kept hearing on the commentary form that w a n k er Neville is doubting southamptons ability to keep up the closing down throught the 90 minutes.Hey hell we outplayed their "worldclass" footballers from the off .Yes there's going to be an element of slacking off the pace but when we as a club dont get to play as often as we really should at major finals, yes very often we need to take the opportunity to shine and yup we sadly fell just short.

Yes thats my sort off opinion of Forster as well.For such a big presence he seems above all not able to command his area.Agree the defence that has been in front for a couple of good seasons seem to mask his inability to save shots that are low .

I like where your coming from in Fab/Cazo context ,never really looks like a player the opposition are likely to fear .Still dont get why all the commentators harp on about his set piece delivery ,bulscrap really still.....but to be fair non of our top midfield players contribute a goal threat.

And just think he (vVD) wont be in the team next year,still look at the positives after hes gone we wont need to feed any other clubs cause the cupboard is empty...........btw Stones was awful today against Everton

Well put, eventually the bigger teams find their footings and normality returns once again, and its a scramble for the odd out of place also run teams to find themselves in the limelight .

I dont totally agree with your verdict that Puel is killing the momentum of the club,but i do think our midfielders have failed to come on in matches and stamp their authority in key moments that matter and unlock defences. We have seemingly run out of luck with players leaving and arriving this season and it cant keep happening and for us to get away with doing so, we need a midfielder willing to change the play and look for the pass to progress the game rather than play just in front of the oppositions 18 yard box with no end .our shots on goal lately are appalling and they train for this every week................hey semi rant over for now back to Morgans and Coke.

totally agree with you on this .............all the kudos of being at a bigger club great, but if your a smaller fry than the bigger boys with so-called established reputations then youd better be good. Its got to be about playing the game surely over bigger wage demands?.....No good being part of a cup winning team without being on the team sheet.

That's all rubbish ..................our last 8-9 games we played last season fell into laps and whereabouts the relative team situation fixture landed on we were as i said then very lucky to have been on a good run of form, nothing to do with what manager we had, istill would like RK to be here but were not big enough to sustain peoples ambitions for long enough,do an ok sort of job for say 2 seasons and move on its the Southampton way very frustrating.
