Spot on we've been on a downward progression since mid December of last season all be it with one or two surprising results and other fixtures going our way that we were able to push for a Europa league finish.Honestly glad to be out before it really started due to inept team performances thus far.Whats missing for me is someone who can knit the pace of the team together and give us some momentum.Everyone says on here Classie is the man to do this ,and yet hes picked up an injury so were not in a position to judge where or not hes such the player we hope hes going to be,wow he was in Hollands world cup team, so was Whiltshire in Englands team did well there also didn't we...!!there's a point when all the business has concluded and it hasn't yet i would be surprised if we can keep Vic and Sadio who incidentally was slagged off rotten on this forum for not being good enough...! now it seems hes the one most likely to create a chance for us.Anyway i digress our squad is getting weaker by every departure and with just a few days remaining of this window have we got enough about us to fight against a reegation battle because we sure need a win already against Norwich this sunday and i dint have us down for our first win until Sunderland at home thats how uninspiring i see our squad.Hope im wrong time will tell .....

i have to say totally agree with you RK wanted him to take the penalty against Hull last season just to build confidence at scoring will he kick on who knows hindsight is a wonderful thing but he seems to nice a person to want to step up and take over from senior players maybe this will be his season im sure we all hope so but who knows just seen MOTD 2Extra and lawro just slatted WHUs choice of playing with a 16 yr old lawro eh

would love to see him back but i think hes too injury prone to make as good a return as we would like to see so not money well spent imo.

yes id be happy with that unless were challenging in europa league with a big squad that is capable of winning to gain champions league qualification then its a no no from me why suffer potential key injuries just to say we played in the europa league ,christ no one wants to play in that apart from say middle ranking italian clubs or russian only chelsea took it seriously when they played in the semis a couple of years ago no one from this league is interested.

Nailed it i think our goalscoring ability was also crucial and our youth policy to start youngsters didnt seem to play out well this season ...maybe we have dried up in this area but im sure ron would have given them a chance if they were any good.

well thanks for actually reading the post and not all the other **** thats attached to it yet again we were very very poor all posession yet no end product once again pelle offered nothing up front no movement just gestures and long playing as a winger really?...deepth of our squad is very bare and lacking quality i thought that with ron in charge we would at least be shooting and yet again no end product i think we had 3 on target in 90 mins bloody terrible for all the seasons training that goes on not just the week leading upto the match but throughout the season our shooting is at best crap and non existance oh well rant over but mark my thoughts if we dont look for better for next season we will be in a dog fight forget europa league if we get that then i fear we will be fooked.

There still might be something to salvage by the end of the second half but i cant help but wonder are we going to get better than this toothless performance or are reaching the level of performance that will accompany us next season......what a struggle it will be,our recent run of form combined with a few key injuries sees us in a false league position ,i fear that next season we would have swapped our position for say a west brom season what a contrast! oh well lets hope im wrong fingers crossed and all that.If you look at our recent run of games our run in should have been on paper easier than most confident top 10 teams able to see the season out without too many issues but sadly southampton seem to have reverted back to the ways of old and making catastrophic errors in the wrong areas of the pitch this is not halftime knee jerk over reacting but reality were in the wrong league position due to the fantastic start but very poor out of form finish.
