  1. Shane scored more goals and set more up than him. No idea why anybody would prefer Ayew to Shane.
  2. Ah yes. In the Itchen Corner.....
  3. More likely that Boscombe will pay higher wages than us. If he’s a quality defender, £12 million is a bargain.
  4. I’ve booked digs in Blackburn town centre. Hoping to be up there early enough to catch the Arsenal v United game in a boozer up there. Would probably be full of United fans, so hopefully Arsenal will win.....
  5. Anybody else thinking about staying in Blackburn on the Friday night? I’m not expecting a large take-up here.....
  6. Was led to believe there was some kind of strike by Northern Rail that weekend.
  7. Would they really give the away team 1,500 tickets for a 4th Round FA Cup game? That’s about 30% of their capacity!
  8. He will only ever be an option if we are in the Championship.
  9. Mario Gotze’s significant other, ladies and gents..... https://www.foottheball.com/wags/wag-ann-kathrin-brommel-6-fast-facts-about-mario-gotzes-wife/177772 Get him on the bus, Ralph.
  10. I don’t rely on public transport. “Tradition” is so 1980’s.
  11. Chuffed about them moving the West Ham game. Can get the train up and go on the sauce. Will be a far better atmosphere than if it had been on Boxing Day, which is always a rubbish day for football.

  13. As it happens, I also have 2 spare kids’ tickets for the trains if anybody else wants those..... (no spare match tickets though). Same train times as above.
  14. Action Man has used up all his posts for the day. It’s the 9.47 train from Soton Central, change at Birmingham New Street. Coming back is direct from Wolverhampton to Southampton at about 6.30pm. If you are interested, PM me and I will give you Action Man’s contact details. Cheers.
  15. Jack Wilshere is an absolute waste of space.
  16. Bit of a long shot, but..... I have a ticket for the City game, but am very keen to get hold of 2 more for a good friend who drove me up to Swansea last night, and his son. Both are very keen Saints fans. If any of you have tickets you may not be able to use, will more than gratefully buy them!! Cheers.
  17. He did well to set our first goal up, but his whole demeanour is really uninspiring.
  18. I left at half-time. Astonished that some fools clapped the team at the end.
  19. The BBC had pretty decent viewing figures for Wigan v Man City on Monday night. Around 6 million, I read earlier this week. Questionably many of them may have switched it on expecting to see Eastenders, but I think they got a better viewing audience than they would have done from screening the game on a Sunday lunchtime. Could come into the equation.
  20. It's worth paying all the money up front. We'll make plenty when we sell him on to Klopp's mob.
  21. It was basically the best game I have ever been to, by miles.
  22. It was fairly obvious from the start of the window that in our predicament we would not be making any permanent signings. Due to a combination of factors of a lack of players wanting to join us (partly due to uncertainty about who the manager would be), Saints not wanting to be fleeced by selling clubs knowing we have cash, and Saints being unwilling to commit to lengthy expensive contracts given our likely relegation. It will be two or three loan signings at most. To expect any more than this is highly unrealistic.
  23. Redmond is deceptively slow.
  24. He’s just had a £9 million payoff from Everton. He isn’t exactly going to be losing sleep if he starts his next job badly.
