  1. Agreed. Most players have never been regular match-attending fans, mainly as they have been playing 3 or 4 games a week from a fairly young age, so they can't relate to what fans go through to go to games (including the whole charade of trying to get tickets in the first place...). I think that many players think of fans in a similar way to how they view the press, ie a necessary evil.
  2. I booed. And was utterly bemused by those who clapped them off. Though McQueen deserved applause. Ironic that he was the one apologising to the fans in the interview after the game.
  3. Hi there, is this still available?
  4. Just got an 8-hour train to Paris from Garibaldi Station, and have a flight from Charles de Gaulle Airport to City Airport. Cost me an extra £250 to book it, but have to be back in England today. Bunch of arse. Particularly as the flights from Milan to Gatwick may well be fine, but I couldn't chance it. 5. Just arrived at Linate and asked a girl working in a money exchange desk if she knew any update. She said that all she knew at the moment was flights in Sardinia are definitely affected on Friday. Which seems a bit random.
  6. Why are they not putting them on sale to members? They said there would be an announcement if any tickets were left unsold on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I had a brilliant time. Tel Aviv was great with beautiful beaches. The ground was a mix of Bucharest's in the middle of nowhere-ness and Midtyjlland's newness. And pretty noisy without being threatening; their fans in the corner applauded us at the end, and were pretty friendly outside the ground. Arnhem just about remains my favourite away trip, partly as we won and partly because of student night after the game. Won't forget some of the sights that night for a long time. Though having not lost in Israel means I returned home with much fonder memories than if we had lost.
  8. Are you still on this forum, FFS? Bore off.
  9. I was stood right next to Steve as the lady in the shop took the beers out of his hands. It was rather surreal.
  10. I completely agree with Duncan in terms of the mindset. Whilst at the same time not being convinced that we would have won if the 4 absentees had played. That said, having got home at 2.30am this morning from Israel, and feeling shattered for most of today, I can imagine that those who played on Thursday may well be jaded tomorrow. So hopefully we can get a big boost tomorrow from those 4 players coming in much fresher.
  11. The higher tier isn't that big. I imagine the middle tier may come into the equation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. But which ticket would offer the better view in the ground??!!?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Though I guess that may need 8,000 Inter fans not to turn up who went to the Beer Sheva game. Possible, I guess...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So then, based on their attendance against Beer Sheva, we could have half the attendance for our game there! Pomps fans would be distraught if this were to happen..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Very chuffed at the extra allocation. Well done Saints! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Can any ST holder buy a ticket today, or just ST holders with no aways? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Wouldn't be putting a bet on tickets being available for members at all, given the rate the ST with no aways mob seem to have been buying them up this morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. None of that convenient caper whatsoever with Virgin Mobile, FFS. Rang them earlier, it's £5 just for 1 measly MB of roaming data outside the EU, FFS. And £4 per minute to make a call. I am probably going to have to live like I'm in the 1990's again. It may be bliss.
  19. It is I guess one of the first rules of business. Do not upset your core customer base. In this industry, that is season-ticket holders. They stump up the cash to watch their team over a season, and that can't be argued with. As a non season ticket-holder, I absolutely have to accept this makes complete business sense. I would imagine there are fans of teams who qualify for Europe every season (Arsenal would be a good example with their regular empty seats at The Emirates) who buy season tickets just so that they can get priority for Europeean games. Makes no difference to the club whether they actually turn up for the Prem games or not.
  20. Don't know. I'm a member, so hoping it goes further down than that.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I assume that using a mobile phone out in Israel will be dead pricey, what with them not being in the EU and all that (?).
  22. The ticket office advised me this morning that there were about 1,500 left, which could (hopefully) suggest that there are a separate 500 set aside for official package trips, that they aren't including in the number deemed to be available for sale. Not sure how that would work though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I got the call last night as well. Was quite hard to hear the guy whilst in a busy Spitfire. Sounded like the ticket collection point might be pretty close to the ground though, bit different from Herning.
  24. I think that's only the case if you are a Season Ticket holder, which I am not. Maybe they will throw it open to members who go to Israel after the 7 aways cut-off....
  25. Duplicate post.
