Dennis Wise. Possibly scraping the barrel a tad here.

He talks like a proper carrot cruncher.

Europa League 2016/2017 (Died 8/12/2016)

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Bertrand was used sparingly in the Europa. Can see Targett starting on Thursday. And am also half-expecting McCarthy and Yoshida to play. As for Long being on the bench yesterday, I think it's deja vu from two years ago, and he's having to prove himself again to a manager who isn't too sure about him. -

Am I the only person with this horrible feeling that Puel will put the reserves in for Israel, and save our best players for Leicester away? -

Should I just drop you somewhere in Luton on the Friday night, then you won't have so far to travel on the Sunday?? The best part of two days in Luton, that must be an appealing prospect...... -

Received our group booking of three Sparta tickets in the post today at my gaff. And no other tickets from the bundle. So that seems consistent. -
I have read three-quarters of the book, and am not convinced that the author is Dave Kitson. I was looking for clues and thought it might be Kevin Phillips, but he slags off Sunderland quite a bit, so I guess that ruled that out. The guy is a bit of an agent, does Dave Kitson do that now? And BTW, the guy is generally pretty complimentary about Saints in the book. He hates Chelsea, and in particular John Terry.

So, in a Top Trumps type format, does Israel beat Midtyjlland in weighting? Guess the club have to weigh up various factors. Cost of beer, awkwardness of flights, chance of running into Hamas suicide bombers etc etc. -

Interesting that no differential is made between members regarding their away game attendance. Possibly due to the short timeframe involved, I guess. -

Actually, having looked at the link again, I think you're right, they have increased it by £50; it looks like it's now £649 if sharing a twin room, or £699 if in a room to yourself. So would be £1,298 for you and Mrs. G. -

I think the £50 differential on the Israel price depends on whether you have a room to yourself in the digs or share a twin room. -
Rubbish. The only song like that I heard in the first half was "There's only one Alan Shearer" to wind the Sun'lan lot up. Upset them a bit, I think.
-
Agreed. I was in Block 01/02, and I never heard anybody singing "One Ronald Koeman".
-
I was in the Itchen North, and thought we got properly behind the team today.

2-2 actually. With great thanks to Inzaghi for his injury-time equaliser. -

I fail to see why anybody would want to be in the trenches with you. You are a bell-end. -
He has looked promising. I'm particularly impressed by Hjobjerg. I think he looks mustard.

I think it's hard to gauge from friendlies where the pace of the game is that much slower. I think that in a normal Prem game, the pace of Long and Redmond should ensure that oppo defences play quite deep and we can push up the pitch. Tadic's creativity will be key though.

It's a better picture on Fox Sports 1 NL on Sports Mania. With Dutch commentary admittedly, but does have action replays. So you can see multiple angles of their rough treatment of Nathan Redmond.

They should have got further as well. Seem to remember Dortmund scoring extremely late in the QF to knock Malaga out when they were heading through to the SF's.

Who has left Saints and gone on to better things?
Pat from Poole replied to Ade's topic in The Saints
Bale Shearer Flowers Ruddock Rideout Rod Wallace I'll think of a few more. -
Not making excuses for the fans, but sometimes it helps if the games are really entertaining, and / or if Saints are playing really high-tempo aggressive football. We'll tend to do that more at home games than away games. I also think the lack of tackling does little for the atmos. Many a time this season, I've thought that if a neutral were watching a Saints game, they would have been utterly bored. However, I don't blame Koeman, I'd far rather we were hard to beat than a pushover.

I think Alan Mullery had a lot to do with it.

Whenever I've gone this way, I've had bad queues on Avon Causeway or Hurn Bridge. Saints fans need to be setting off early for this game. You should allow for an hour and a half journey time.
