  1. All I know about Halford is that he has a Delap-type stupidly long throw.
  2. Liam Lawrence would be an excellent signing. Two for the price of one; a player with a real presence in midfield, and the Cheats fans would be distraught.
  3. I would be surprised if the season ticket numbers were greatly up on this season's number. There will still be very few games that would sell out (Cheats FC, Leeds, West Ham if they come down), so people won't need a season ticket to get in to the vast majority of games. I would still expect a lot of people to be picking and choosing the games they go to, there hasn't been a sudden upturn in the economy to make people feel more secure about their future financial well-being.
  4. Williamson is a thug.
  5. Agreed. Also did really well to avoid getting a 2-match ban last month, which could have been very costly.
  6. Kevin Phillips wouldn't be the worst signing in the world.
  7. Is Kevin McDonald the guy who got taken off in the first-half of a televised game last season and watched the second-half in the pub? That sounds a bit Puncheon-like to me.
  8. Having bigger crowds than Cheats FC despite being in the league below. So when we're back above them, they will never be able to claim that we're plastics. That was the only thing keeping them positive in the early part of the last decade.
  9. I was wrong. I thought Adkins lacked the presence to inspire some of the more experienced members of the squad. However, they have all clearly been giving 100% for him. To see Lallana charging around harassing Plymouth players when we were 3-0 up was fantastic, and Fonte has been immense. There is a real unity within the squad, partly driven by winning, partly by Puncheon not being there maybe. Either way, Adkins has to take great credit for having them all "on the bus". Fair play to Adkins and Cortese, although the timing of Pardew leaving and us being in limbo before appointing Adkins could so easily have led to us being in the play-offs.
  10. My SkyPlus says 23:10.
  11. No cnance of that with the amount of wild dogs the OB had with them.
  12. The9's point is entirely valid. Though as Griffo says, I'd far rather have 2,500 Saints fans at Plymouth making a deafening racket than most of them wearing red and white. That sort of thing is why most people think Newcastle fans are a joke.
  13. Plymouth's last game is home to Orient, I believe, who could still be going for the play-offs. Plymouth have 3 meaty games left. Exeter are desperate to thrash them on Saturday, I can see that being a pretty volatile game.
  14. Agree with this. Think Murray may also be injured, he's a big miss for them. Huddersfield will be unbeaten until the end of the season.
  15. Stockport probably hate us for taking Dave Jones from them, plus Paul Jones, though at a stroke this was almost wholly offset by us paying them money for Lee Todd.
  16. It was about 2,000. But we never sing when we don't have a roof, especially if it's raining. The Steaua fans were mentally loud. I was almost pleased that they scored at the end so that we could hear them go a bit more mental, we were going out on away goals anyway, so it didn't really make a great deal of difference. We did miss a couple of great chances to win the game earlier on though. Think Phillips had one in particular.
  17. One of the local dibble who was in the away end was absolutely stunning. Reminded me a little bit of the Elton John "Nikita" video for some reason. Sorry, can't do a Rule 1. Couldn't take any pictures, as my missus was there as well.
  18. I imagine The9 may have a view on this.....
  19. There was also quite a lot of unpleasantness between Brighton and Huddersfield when they met at the Galpharm this season. Clark was hilarious, running on the pitch at the end to celebrate Huddersfield's win, waving imaginary cards in the air mocking Poyet and his mates' actions in trying to get players booked/sent off through the game. Bit of bad blood there, methinks.
  20. How p1ssed off on a scale of 1 to 10 will Huddersfield be if we win tomorrow? Positive thoughts, people.
  21. Rod Stewart also played for Brentford.
  22. I know I've said it before, but he needs to go back to presenting the programme in a cafe with the newspapers in front of him as he did on Gazzetta. Gave a bit of an air of class, particularly when he would start gabbling to a waiter in Italian. He really doesn't need Murty and Rosenior spouting tosh.
  23. Agree with pretty much all of this, particularly Stephens. I'm probably being harsh, but he just doesn't look like he has much about him at all.
