  1. Yeah, I was also at the 4-0 at Filbert Street. Cracking day.
  2. I thought it was a minimum 2-year contract for BT Vision? Maybe my mistake. If you're a fan of HD, might be worth mentining that you'd miss out on having the footie in HD with BT Vision.
  3. Vaguely remember this. I can recall Cotterill being asked by Solent how he got on with O'Driscoll, with them both having been ex-Boscombe players, and Cotterill didn't want to answer the question, clearly some bad blood.
  4. We have never done this whoever has been in charge of the club, to the best of my memory. Guess it doesn't help when non-PL clubs only get a small fee from SKY for live games (is it £60K?) , doesn't give much scope to reduce prices really. FWIW I was expecting the attendance to be about 21,000. The club could barely have done less in the last two months to try and capitalise on the feelgood factor from promotion.
  5. Thanks. That sounds pretty decent. I think they're doing an offer of £36 for a year, which seems OK. When do the match highlights first appear on Saints Player? Does it normally take a day or two? If it was the same day, I'd be quite impressed, have to say.
  6. Removed post.
  7. How many minutes of highlights do they normally show for each game? I might be considering getting this.
  8. Based on that list, the value bet absolutely has to be Leeds.
  9. I thought the BBC also show games at lunchtime (?)
  10. I think he did, he may also have hinted that Schneiderlin may have wanted to go back to France last summer (St. Etienne rings a bell for some reason).
  11. I suspect the BBC may show it live as well, so that'll also put off a fair few. More chance of me getting a ticket then, goodo.
  12. I've always thought Fonte would be a good midfielder, but then I guess we have Schneiderlin / Cork for the type of midfield role I could see Jose doing well in.
  13. Absolute horse dung for three reasons:- 1. not going to repeat Daren's points re use of the "c" word, but entirely agree with him. 2. The9 is a sound guy, very knowledgeable. I think he'd be missed a lot more than you. 3. Nothing wrong with The Ugly Inside board.
  14. I bet you're fun in the pub.
  15. Yeah, that was my thinking as well.
  16. Wouldn't worry, I think the silent majority will think it's an intriguing rumour. Nothing should surprise anybody in football, I'm certainly not attaching any great weight to the fact that Lambert has signed a new contract recently. Same with Lallana. Money talks ultimately.
  17. Mmm, struggled to replace Andy Carroll, haven't they? Maybe there was a particular reason for RLSGM to be looking leaner and fitter than I've seen at any point in the last two years.
  18. You, sir, with the best will in the world, are obviously a cretin. You clearly have no idea whatsoever what I meant. I dread to think what line of business you are in and who is daft enough to be a customer of yours.
  19. Clearly, I didn't assume you would tell customers how much you would pay yourself. It was more that you wouldn't have the nerve to tell a customer you would punch them on the nose if they questioned your right to pay yourself whatever you wanted. Any sane businessman does not behave in such a moronic way if they intend to stay in business.
  20. Bet you don't say that to any of your customers, as if you did you'd soon be paying yourself the square root of farkall.
  21. To quote everybody's favourite ex-Saints Web poster Stu Romsey Saint in a thread I was conversing with him last night on the Ugly site:- "Come on Pat, give the man some credit, the £650k is just the basic salary, it doesn't include the credit card bills, sunseeker, private schooling or rent on a Chilworth mansion ( or the extra costs incurred of changing curtains or laying laminate flooring ) . "
  22. Good grief, no. His only asset used to be pace, which he now won't have.
  23. I very much doubt there was.
  24. The annual wage bill in those accounts was over £12 million, so we raised the bar big-time for a League 1 club all round, I'd suggest.
  25. Didn't this come to light some months ago when the 2010 accounts were first issued? Re the dividends, it is perhaps of some relevance that they can only legally be paid through distributable reserves, so if Saints hadn't been profitable (or more to the point, solvent) then Lowe (and all the thousands of shareholders at the time) wouldn't be able to be paid the dividends. My issue with Lowe was more the salary he was taking from the club on his second (part-time) spell with us, and also getting the club to pay his legal fees when he was suing people like Martin Samuel.
